Russias aerospace director called YouTube a Nazi

Published

on

Dmitry Rogozin, Director-General of Russia’s space agency Roscosmos, posted a video song on YouTube on Friday that he said was “dedicated to the Russian army, rescuing Ukraine and Europe from the Nazis.” YouTube reacted quickly to Rogozin’s action, removing the video from the platform due to a violation of YouTube’s rules and conditions. This elicited a vehement response from the former Deputy Prime Minister, who dubbed YouTube a Nazi.

“What a joy: YouTube pulled my song “Russian Roads of Ukraine” about the beginnings of Nazism in Germany, the Nazi invasion on the USSR, and the collaboration of the Bandera Nazis who invaded Soviet Ukraine due to a technical glitch. In a tweet, Rogozin replied, saying, “YouTube got Nazi.”

He even released a video of Nazi Germany’s leadership and people, commanded by Adolf Hitler, allegedly bombing and torturing innocent people.

Russia is attempting to ‘denazify’ Ukraine.

This isn’t the first time Russia has referred to Ukraine under Volodymyr Zelenskyy as a Nazi state, mocking the Ukrainian President’s leadership as a “band of drug addicts and neo-Nazis.” Russian President Vladimir Putin has justified his attack on Kyiv on many occasions by claiming that he intends to “de-nazify” Ukraine. Since the beginning of the conflict on February 24, Putin and his associates have referred to Ukraine as “Ukraine.” “Right-wing Banderites and neo-Nazis in Ukraine are building up heavy armaments, including multiple launch rocket systems, right in the centre districts of major cities, including Kyiv and Kharkiv,” Putin said in the early days of Russia’s incursion.

President Zelenskyy recently told the press that any accord with Russia cannot be “denazified.” “We cannot accept it when a country that is following in Hitler’s footsteps accuses us of being Nazis,” Zelenskyy had remarked. On Monday, Zelenskyy’s adviser claimed that Moscow is justifying its invasion by inventing bio-labs, fabricating allegations about Nazi troops, and pounding Donetsk with lethal artillery. “All of this is a complete falsehood,” he continued, “which the world rejects as it watches the battle unfold live.”
