Security guard shoots man for not wearing a mask inside bank premises

On Friday (June 25), a security guard fired at a customer for not wearing a mask and entering a bank during the lunch hour. The incident took place at the Junction Road branch of the Bank of Baroda branch in the Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh.

As per reports, the accused has been identified as one Keshav Prasad Mishra. A Railway employee and also a customer at the bank, Rajesh Kumar, was allegedly stopped by the security guard for not wearing a mask. In a video that has now surfaced on social media, the victim could be seen lying on the ground in a pool of blood. His wife was seen sitting next to him while the accused was standing nearby with his gun in hand.

While speaking about the matter, Rajesh’s wife Priyanka narrated, “The guard first stopped my husband from entering the bank and asked to wear a mask, after which he wore a mask and as he tried to enter again the guard again stopped him and said that he won’t allow going inside as it was lunchtime.” She added, “My husband tried to enter the bank after a little scuffle on which the guard shot him. I want strict action to be taken against the guard.”

The incident is believed to have taken place at 11:30 am in the morning. The woman claimed that the guard had warned to shoot the victim on the chest and also damaged his phone. Reportedly, Rajesh sustained a gunshot wound to his thigh.

In his defense, the security guard claimed, “He did not have a mask. I pointed that out, so he got a mask… but then he started abusing me. We had an argument… there was pushing and shoving, and the firing happened accidentally. Even I am injured, you can see my buttons have come off. My rifle was loaded, the trigger got pressed inadvertently.”

Man Detained In Navi Mumbai For Raping A 41-year-old Bank Employee

According to authorities, a guy has been detained in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, on suspicion of sexually abusing a bank employee who is 41 years old. This was announced on Sunday.

The police said that a case was filed at the Panvel police station in response to a complaint made by the woman, who claimed to have been raped. It stated that additional investigation was ongoing and that the accused was taken into custody on Friday in accordance with pertinent Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS) rules.

The defendant in this case was employed by the bank as a driver. A few months prior, he had become friends with the victim and afterwards developed a sexual relationship with her. According to the official, he allegedly took pictures and private films of their interactions without getting her permission and then used them to threaten the woman.

According to him, the accused sexually harassed the victim and then threatened to show her family and bank coworkers the video recordings and her private photos.

The official stated that an investigation is in progress and that the accused reportedly verbally and physically assaulted the victim after she started to reject his approaches.

The New Civil Code Court Building In Panvel Has Received Administrative Authority To Add Additional Floors

The New Civil Code Court Building in Panvel is set to have its second and third floors built after receiving administrative approval from the state government. The proposed expansion, estimated to cost Rs. 17.31 crore, is anticipated to increase facilities for the public and legal professionals while also easing present space restrictions.

The Panvel Lawyers Association and MLA Prashant Thakur, who pushed for the extra floors to alleviate the building’s overcrowding, were successful in getting the approval after a protracted battle. MLA Thakur had brought up the difficulties resulting from insufficient court space and facilities in an urgent request to Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

There are only eight court halls spread across the ground and one additional story of the new facility, which now holds a total of fifteen courts, including Civil Courts, First Class Magistrate Courts, Senior Civil Code Courts, District and High Sessions Courts, and a POSCO Court. Some courts are now functioning out of temporary locations due to a shortage of suitable courtrooms.

The extension will greatly assist attorneys, litigants, and other stakeholders by adding much-needed courtroom space and amenities. The additional floors will increase court operations’ efficiency and assist alleviate the existing overcrowding problem.

The Panvel Lawyers Association, under the direction of President Adv. Manoj Bhujbal, has thanked Ajit Pawar, Devendra Fadnavis, and Chief Minister Eknath Shinde for their assistance. The association and its office bearers have also received praise from MLA Prashant Thakur for their effective efforts in obtaining the required financing and clearance for the project.

The victims of the Navi Mumbai local project have endured many hardships and disregard for almost forty years. MLA Manda Mhatre visited with the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister during Ganeshotsav, and they promised her that a government ordinance will be released shortly.

MLA Manda Mhatre stated, “The issue that has persisted for four decades will be addressed by the upcoming government ordinance.”
