Long-time commuters have been lamenting the lack of facilities at stations, but Cidco officials have been unresponsive to their cries.

The commuters’ nightmare has been dealing with several hygienic and health-related problems as a result of stations’ inadequate maintenance. Another problem has been the cleanliness of the platforms. Toilets that have been vacant for a while are in poor condition. Parking spaces have always been disorganised, and waste piles have blocked commuters’ paths of travel, according to commuter Neelam Patil. The commuters claim that for many months, fans and lights have been inoperable and that officials are ignoring the real problems.

To safeguard the safety of the passengers, Mukherjee instructed the officials and contractors to build the desperately required escalators in accordance with the specifications. For the sake of commuters, he gave the Cidco engineers the task of developing an organised and effective management structure to oversee and carry out daily operations. Mukherjee voiced his concern over the subordinates’ carelessness when it came to doing routine maintenance tasks at the railway stations that the city planner controlled. In order to improve connectivity in the satellite city, Cidco built a network of suburban railway lines in Navi Mumbai in collaboration with Railways. “Cidco consistently makes every effort to make commuters from suburbs safer and more comfortable.

Dr. Sanjay Mukherjee evaluated the conditions at the railway stations in Nerul and Koparkhairane as part of these efforts,” according to a Cidco official. An official stated, “Cidco has already established a special committee led by the Joint Managing Director of Cidco to study and resolve the issues experienced by the commuters of the suburban railway in Navi Mumbai. The committee is made up of the Joint Managing Director in addition to engineers and executives from Cidco, NMMC, and Indian Railways.
