Ex US Commander: Russia is soon to run out of ammo and manpower
Lieutenant General Ben Hodges, the former US Army Europe commanding general, warned on Monday that the Russians are approximately 10 days away from reaching the “culminating point.” The Russian troops will be “forced to suspend their assault on Ukraine owing to a lack of resources,” according to the US commander.
“Russians are just 10 days away from what is known as the culminating point,” according to Lt Gen Hodges, “when they simply no longer have the ammo nor the people to keep up their attack.”
“I believe we’re going to keep putting it on until the Russians finally give up,” he said.
As Russia’s invasion of Ukraine began its 19th day, multiple cities in Ukraine were reduced to rubble, forcing many Ukrainians to abandon the nation. Despite the sanctions imposed by Western countries, Russia has shown no signs of relenting in its aggression against Ukraine.
Russian forces, on the other hand, are expected to run out of supplies shortly, according to experts. The Russians went after former NATO ambassador Kurt Volker’s training center in Yavoriv, according to Lt Gen Ben Hodges of ‘The Faulkner Focus,’ partially to demonstrate that they could access the lines of communication that transport supplies and support into Ukraine from Poland.
He reaffirmed that the onslaught near Nato territory is no reason for fear because the Russians are close to approaching a tipping point when they will be forced to halt their offensive owing to a lack of resources.
Meanwhile, the European Union’s 27-nation group has agreed on a new package of penalties to punish Russia for its invasion of Ukraine.
The EU has adopted the fourth package of sanctions targeting persons and businesses implicated in the aggression against Ukraine, as well as numerous sectors of the Russian economy, according to France, which now holds the EU presidency.
The EU has taken strong measures against Russian President Vladimir Putin, Russia’s banking system, and its high-maintenance billionaires since the war began last month. Last Monday, the EU’s member states agreed to impose fresh sanctions on 160 individuals as well as new export restrictions on maritime navigation and radio communication equipment.
It also voted to bar three Belarusian banks from participating in the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT), the world’s most widely used financial messaging system. A total of 862 individuals and 53 organizations are now subject to EU restrictive measures.
