Can Canada and the UK soon follow Germany on SJF

Published

on

The arrest of Jaswinder Singh Multani, the leader of the terrorist organisation Sikhs For Justice (SFJ), was a positive sign for India’s struggle against the extreme Khalistani movement. Multani was apprehended by German officials after India used high-level diplomatic links to persuade German authorities to make the arrest. The tale behind the arrest is slowly emerging, revealing how it was the consequence of almost 72 hours of frantic diplomacy by the Union Government under Prime Minister Modi.

According to reports, the Indian government made it plain that if a bomb detonation occurred in Delhi or Mumbai, the cities under threat from Multani’s attack, Germany would be held responsible. According to a storey in the Hindustan Times, the Modi government provided the German embassy in India with actionable intelligence. The Indian government’s intelligence was sufficient to persuade the Federal Police in Berlin of the importance of the situation.

The Ministry of External Affairs summoned staff from the Indian embassy who had gone on leave for the Christmas holidays. It demonstrated to German officials that the situation was urgent and dangerous since a terror assault on Mumbai was a possibility. Multani had sent explosives to Mumbai and was putting together a terror team to carry out the attack, according to evidence supplied by the Government of India.

The SJF terrorist is now being interrogated by German police. The Ministry of External Affairs, Indian Security Agencies, and officials who are known to matter, on the other hand, are refusing to provide any additional information.

Can India’s success in Germany put the United Kingdom and Canada under pressure?

In various countries, notably the United Kingdom and Canada, Khalistani radicals and sympathisers, particularly those related to SFJ, are a major national security issue that India is attempting to confront. Pakistan supports some Khalistani sympathisers in Canada and the United Kingdom. The success of India in persuading German authorities to capture SFJ terrorists will put pressure on the United Kingdom and Canada to act against the radicals.

Both Canada and the United Kingdom are critical partners of India, and Indian security authorities have periodically notified the two countries about radicals attempting to foment unrest in the country. The two countries, however, have taken no serious measures to combat the radicals. Only recently, UK security authorities raided Sikhs For Justice’s Hounslow office, recovering electronic devices and documents relating to the ‘Punjab Referendum.’

Documents were discovered that attempted to increase the number of votes in the so-called referendum. A Pakistani national was also apprehended as part of the investigation. The group used technological gadgets to make phoney identity cards, according to sources quoted by News18.

Pro-Khalistani radicals associated with the SFJ and other extremist organisations in the United States are spreading havoc.

Many Khalistani terrorists and sympathisers have departed the country as a result of India’s crackdown on them. Sikhs For Justice, Babbar Khalsa International, Khalistan Zindabad Force, and other pro-Khalistani organisations are operating in these nations, either publicly or behind the scenes.

Many pro-Khalistani leaders have risen to positions of power in the United Kingdom and Canada, becoming legislators. Jagmeet Singh (MP Canada), his brother Gurratan Singh (MLA Ontario, Canada), Preet Kaur Gill (MP UK), and Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi are some of the most well-known examples of such leaders (MP UK). All of these leaders have attempted to influence the governments of their respective nations against India by using their positions as legislators.

A special team from the National Investigation Agency also visited Canada in November. The team gave Canadian authorities intelligence on Khalistani terrorist groups such as Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), Khalistan Zindabad Force (KZF), and Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF).

According to reports, the team pushed for the implementation of the Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty in order to expedite the information-sharing mechanism for anti-India operations. The agency was armed with financing from the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Australia, and Germany.

In June 1985, Khalistani terrorists destroyed Air India flight 182 Kanishka on its way to Canada, killing 329 passengers. It is thought to be the bloodiest mass murder in the history of Canada. Despite their animosity toward Canada, pro-Khalistani elements have found refuge in the country.

Multani was plotting terrorist attacks in Punjab at the time.

Multani recently came under the eye of security officials after he used his Pakistani connections and arms smugglers to arrange weapons consignments to the state, including explosives, pistols, and hand grenades. Multani has been the subject of several arrests in Punjab recently.

Punjab Police captured local extremist Khalistani sympathisers from Tarn Taran, Ferozepur, and Amristar districts on February 7, 2021. They found eight firearms and ammunition made in the country. To carry out terror operations in Punjab, the pistols were obtained from Sikligar Sikhs in Madhya Pradesh and other sources.

Jeevan Singh, who was closely related to Multani, was later apprehended by Punjab police in Mansa. On social media, he had radicalised Jeevan to target Balbir Singh Rajewal, a leading farmer union leader. Multani had set aside monies for Jeevan to purchase locally made weapons with which to assassinate Rajewal. The Punjab Police made another arrest tied to Multani in August. The police detained Saroop Singh, a resident of Johal Dhaiwala in the Tarn Taran district. He was found with two hand grenades.

During the investigation, it was discovered that Singh was approached on Facebook by Surrey, who turned out to be Multani. He also communicated with Singh over WhatsApp. Money was provided to Singh via Western Union, and grenades were delivered to Singh via Pakistan on the Amritsar-Harike route. Multani had sent Singh a snapshot of the site and told him to go there and collect bombs.

Multani was also named in the latest court blast in Ludhiana. Multani is the subject of two FIRs, one in Amritsar and the other in SAS Nagar. He is connected to all of Sikhs For Justice’s core members.

Sanjay Raut is granted bail in the Patra Chawl Land Scam

Published

on

Sanjay Raut, the PMLA of the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray), was granted bail on Wednesday by the PMLA Court in Mumbai in connection with a money laundering case involving the Rs 1034 crore Patra Chawl land scandal. A guarantee of Rs. 2 lakh was required to obtain the bail.

According to the sources, Raut, a Rajya Sabha member, and his co-accused, Pravin Raut, appeared before the court today. During the hearing, the Additional Solicitor General asked for a temporary halt to the bail decision’s implementation so that the ED may appeal the Mumbai PMLA court’s ruling to a higher court.

Only a one-week stay is all I’m asking for. A two to three day delay may also be granted by the court. We want to read the rules, and that takes time, said the Additional Solicitor General, according to a report. Sanjay Raut and Pravin Raut were granted bail, and the Enforcement Directorate stated that if the court did not grant a stay, it will appeal the bail decision to the Bombay High Court. Pravin Raut, another defendant in the case with Sanjay Raut, was also given bail.

Recent sources indicate that the prosecution’s request for a stay of the bail order was denied.

Before the detectives raided his home and questioned the leader, the ED had twice summoned him in connection with the case. The ED held the leader for additional interrogation on July 31 because he didn’t adequately react to the investigative team.

The Patra Chawl case is related to Mumbai’s Goregaon neighbourhood. It is a piece of property owned by the MHADA, also known as the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority. A scam worth around Rs 1034 crores exists. The case has resulted in the seizure of Sanjay Raut’s property worth 9 crore rupees and his wife Varsha’s property worth 2 crore rupees.

A real estate developer named Pravin Raut, who is also a co-accused in the case, is accused of defrauding residents in Patra Chawl. On this property, a construction company had been hired to build 3000 apartments. Of these, the residents of this area were to receive 672 flats. The remainder was supposed to be donated to MHADA, but in 2011, several portions of this large site were sold to other homebuilders. The initial chawl occupants have not yet gotten the units.

Notably, the investigation into the Maharashtra-based PMC Bank scam coincided with the crucial role that Pravin Raut and his business, Guru Ashish Construction Private Limited, played in the crime.

Sanjay Raut, a member of parliament, had already asserted that a fabricated case had been made against him due to political hatred. The leader’s full involvement in the money laundering case was established by the ED. At 3 p.m. today, a court will determine whether to postpone Sanjay and Pravin Raut’s arrest warrant.

As per Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, the government’s use of technology for benefit transfers to specific groups of people has closed loopholes and assured good governance.

In her Friday NT Rama Rao Memorial Lecture, she stated: “By utilising technology, Prime Minister (Narendra) Modi has stopped the leaky bucket process. There are no leaks, and the required beneficiary receives the funds “.

GITAM

She stated at the Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management that technology has grown into a significant tool for curbing human stupidity and temptation (GITAM).

According to Sitharaman, “Today, the way we have utilised technology is guaranteeing that benefits reach the general public, one of the goals of good governance has been realised,” according to a news release by GITAM.

The Prime Minister said earlier this month that the government had already given Rs 25 lakh crore through direct benefit transfer (DBT).

“This is hardly a failsafe method, I admit. Ingenuity will have a component where individuals will be able to hack even this, but right now, it is certain that only the rightful owner should receive what is being used without any form of theft. In order to accomplish the goals, good governance entails seeking out the necessary tools ” she explained.

She emphasised the principle “Minimum Government, Maximum Governance,” which states that there should only be a suitable amount of government where it is necessary.

She stated that creating trust among people is essential for effective government.
