BJP Chief J P Nadda says the advancement of Himachal will halt if the wrong government is elected

Published

According to J P Nadda, the head of the BJP, if the incorrect party is elected in Himachal Pradesh, progress in the hill state will stall.

On the final day of the campaigning for the November 12 Assembly elections, Nadda spoke at a rally in Fatehpur in support of party candidate Rakesh Pathania “”This is the moment for a rejuvenation of the government,” the double-engine BJP governments at the federal and state levels remarked. Himachal falls apart if one engine fails. The garden will be destroyed if a poor gardener is not selected.”

He warned people not to fall for any form of trap, saying “You should exercise greater caution because there are only two days left till voting. Keep an eye out for anyone who approach you in the nighttime darkness.” Nadda urged people not to cast their ballots based on their castes or geographic areas, saying, “Use your vote intelligently. This election is about your rights for the next five years.” He charged that previous Congress-led state and federal governments had halted significant initiatives like the Leh rail project and the Atal tunnel.

“Because of the Congress, these projects were delayed for years. The Atal tunnel project was finished in two years after the (Narendra) Modi administration took office in 2014 “the BJP’s (Bharatiya Janata Party) president remarked.

He added that although the then-Congress administration in Himachal Pradesh did not assist in acquiring land for it, the Cabinet Committee on Security had approved a railway line for Leh in 2015. However, under Modi’s leadership, the rail line will reach Bilaspur by 2024.

According to Nadda, the 2002 industrial package provided by the administration of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee drew pharmaceutical firms to Himachal from Maharashtra and other states.

He said that the Haryana and Punjab governments’ resistance forced the previous Congress government in the state, led by former chief minister Virbhadra Singh, to abandon the industrial package.

The BJP chairman claimed that thanks to the government’s COVID-19 immunisation campaign, attendees can now attend rallies without wearing masks “Joe Biden, the US president, consistently dons a mask. To keep Covid under control, China has implemented a second shutdown. But all of you are seated together without masks. This is due to the free distribution of two doses of the Covid vaccine to everyone.”
