“Abhay Yojana” for Navi Mumbai is unveiled by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde

Published

The issue of occupancy certificates, leasing agreements, and building handovers without the necessary collection of excess amounts under CIDCO has been instructed by Maharashtra’s Chief Minister, Eknath Shinde. The “Abhay Yojana,” which the state government launched to speed up this process, is being pushed to be utilized to the most by both residents and developers.

Until the extra payment under CIDCO was collected, buildings in Navi Mumbai were not issued occupancy certificates, lease letters, or handovers.

Buildings may now get occupancy certificates, leaseholds, and transfers under the recently announced Abhay Yojana without having to pay back extra money. This plan will be in effect through March 31, 2024. Notably, extra sums will now be recovered independently and not be correlated with occupancy certificates, lease deeds, or transfers.

This move will immediately help many apartment owners and lessen the financial strain on regular residents. Furthermore, developers that encounter difficulties in completing plot development within the designated timeframe under the Abhay Yojana are eligible for a 50% reduction on the extra leasing price, which is due by March 31, 2024. In addition, the government has made the decision to lower extra costs and establish a regulation to regularize structures that include several apartments built on tiny bungalow and row house lots.

Chief Minister Shinde declared, “It is the governance of the common people, and our policy is to take decisions in the interest of the people,” expressing the government’s dedication to the welfare of the populace. This move is anticipated to hasten the region’s growth and offer considerable relief to both locals and developers in the Navi Mumbai area.
