The Navi Mumbai Police Commissioner, Milind Bharambe, devised a five-day training and knowledge-update curriculum to prepare the police to tackle cybercrime in the city. In order to educate police and staff on how to conduct a cybercrime investigation, gather evidence, and locate the offender, a training programme was started. Given the advancement of technology and the nation’s transition to a developed one, Bharambe emphasised the importance of specialist training.

In order to tackle this, the police station in Navi Mumbai is establishing a separate cybercrime police station to look into both serious and less serious offences.
