Pakistani students fleeing from Ukraine by using the Indian flag
In the middle of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, where more than 2000 Pakistani nationals, including 600 students, remain stranded in Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities, the Pakistan Embassy in Algeria has suggested that the country seek financial assistance from India because it is failing to assist its nationals stranded in Ukraine.
“Embassies have been urged to shift monies to Ukraine to evacuate Pakistanis. Should we also start asking India for funds because Pakistanis are fleeing Ukraine under Indian flags?” the Pakistan Embassy in Algeria tweeted. It further stated that no Pakistani nationals have been evacuated to date and that it lacked the finances to pay wages to its officials or to assist Pakistanis stranded in Ukraine.
The Algerian embassy reported that their government has requested that funding be diverted so that students in Ukraine can be evacuated. They said they didn’t have enough money to pay their employees’ salaries.
The tweet was then removed when the Pakistani Foreign Office declared that the embassy’s social media accounts in Algeria had been “hacked” and that the messages did not belong to the mission.
“The Embassy of Pakistan in Algeria’s Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram accounts have been hacked,” a FO official said on Twitter. All messages posted through these accounts were not from the Pakistan Embassy in Algeria, according to the tweet.
According to the video, embassy workers forced students to raise slogans before asking them to exit the bus.
The Pakistan Embassy in Algeria uploaded a video from a Pakistani TV channel depicting the realities of Pakistani students in Ukraine in a tweet. The Pakistani students in Ukraine were assisted by officials who asked them to chant pro-Pakistani slogans, but they were eventually abandoned, according to the video. A group of Pakistani students stranded in Ukraine told the BBC that they have received no assistance from their embassy. Many of which are now using the Indian tricolour flag to flee from Ukraine to nearby borders.
These students were then forced to sit inside the bus and shout ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ before being forced to exit after a short period. In the bitter cold, the Pakistani students trekked a considerable distance and arrived near the Polish border. They alleged in the news tape that the Pakistani government had provided them with no assistance during the fighting.
The Algerian embassy uploaded video footage from a Pakistani television program.
Later, the video was removed from the Pakistan Embassy in Algeria’s official account. It’s worth noting that the Indian Tricolor has aided not just Indians but even Pakistanis in navigating numerous checkpoints throughout the war-torn country. The students from Pakistan and Turkey, according to sources, utilized the Indian national flag to save their lives during the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
Over suspected “hacked” tweets, Pakistan’s embassies have complained about a lack of cash.
In the meantime, Pakistan is not the first country to be embroiled in such a scandal. Earlier in December 2021, the Pakistani embassy in Argentina released a photo of Prime Minister Imran Khan and other top officials on its official Instagram account, advocating for a leadership change in Islamabad to restore the country’s confidence and dependability.
Argentina is said to be in talks with Pakistan about purchasing the JF-17 fighter plane, which it co-produces with China. Later, the Pakistan Embassy in Argentina said that their Instagram account had been hacked and that the post demanding Imran Khan’s replacement had not been sent by the embassy.
Also, the Pakistani Embassy in Belgrade, Serbia, went rogue, using Twitter to criticize the Pakistani government for failing to pay its dues for the past three months. To mock Pakistan’s cash-strapped Imran Khan government, the embassy released a rap version of Imran Khan’s “Aap ne ghabrana nahi hai.” In December of 2021, something occurred.
On social media, several videos have appeared in which Pakistani students complain about being stranded in Ukraine and unable to receive assistance from their government. Previously, news sources said that Pakistani students are escaping Ukraine by posing as Indian residents and flying the Indian flag.
Pakistani envoys in Ukraine and Poland have been quoted as saying that they are doing everything possible to assist stranded students in Ukraine. They are also requesting that the students travel to Poland for subsequent evacuation, as is the case in many other countries.

Tourism in Palghar district got a high-altitude boost on Independence Day with the grand unveiling of a spectacular glass skywalk at the famous Dabhosa Waterfall. Inaugurated by Maharashtra Forest Minister and District Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik, the landmark project marks Palghar’s first-ever transparent skywalk, sparking immense excitement among locals and travel enthusiasts.
Engineered to offer an adrenaline-pumping perspective, the structure features a 5-meter-long transparent glass walkway leading to an 11-foot-wide circular viewing deck.
