MLA Manda Mhatre inaugurates multiple development projects in the Belapur assembly constituency.

The Project

As a result of MLA Manda Mhatre’s efforts, the city continues to see tremendous growth, with new projects being started and several existing ones being inaugurated in the Belapur Assembly Constituency. Residents were enthusiastic about the recent projects in the Nerul and CBD divisions that improved local facilities and infrastructure. The construction and enhancement of Kranti veer Vasudev Balwant Phadke Park in Sector-8B, Central Business District Belapur, is one of the key initiatives. Under the Urban Settlement Improvement Scheme, the park will undergo a transformation at a budget of Rs. 15 crores.

Modern features including solar lights, a gazebo, an LED global tunnel, a rock climbing wall, FRP walls, a selfie point, and distinctive lighting shows with gobo and web-type themes will all be included in the makeover. By creating a “magic garden” experience, this project hopes to improve locals’ access to recreational areas. Residents of Belapur are excited about the park’s development work, and many of them appreciate MLA Manda Mhatre’s efforts to provide the neighborhood with high-quality recreational facilities.

Moreover, a Bhumipujan ceremony was conducted to dedicate Rs. 20 lakhs from the MLA Fund to the construction of a Virangula Kendra (leisure center) for elderly persons at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Udyan in Nerul’s Ward No. 84. The event, which was attended by local senior folks, served as the launchpad for the project to create a facility just for them. Additionally, CCTV cameras were installed in Sectors 2 and 4 using Rs. 20 lakhs from the MLA Fund to improve security in the Nerul area. By providing constant monitoring akin to that of reality shows where competitors’ performances are closely watched, the installation seeks to establish a security system. It is anticipated that the CCTV system will increase security and discourage illegal activity in the locality.

MLA Manda Mhatre reaffirmed her dedication to Navi Mumbai’s development during the event, saying that these projects are in line with her goal of updating the city’s infrastructure and improving the standard of living for its citizens.
