Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, launched the Nadabet international border point in Gujarat’s Banaskatha district on Sunday.

Amit Shah, speaking on the occasion, praised PM Modi for the project’s completion. He said that the multipurpose tourism project was constructed under PM Modi’s direct supervision. He also praised the BSF jawans who secure our borders, saying that the country is reaching new heights as a result of the BSF troops’ efforts to protect the country’s sovereignty.

The event was attended by Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel, state tourism minister Punesh Modi, Director General of BSF, as well as other guests. Mr. Shah also paid a visit to the Nadeshwari Mata Temple in Nadabet, where he performed puja and received darshan.

The site, known as the ‘Seema Darshan Project,’ is Gujarat’s first border viewing point. The Gujarat State Tourism Board has designed the project as a tourism destination. At the venue, there will be photo galleries as well as armed tanks on show.

As per reports, the Nadabet border viewing point will be somewhat different from the Atari-Wagah border crossing in Punjab, where the Pakistani military will also be present. The Pakistani side would be absent from Nadabet, and the Indian army will be represented by the BSF (Border Security Forces).

The border viewing point is 20 to 25 kilometers from Pakistan’s actual border. Gujarat Tourism invested Rs 125 crore in the project, which is located in Sui hamlet near Nadabet in the Banaskantha district.

“A special structure has been built here, in which all kinds of information relevant to Gujarat’s history have been preserved,” said Alok Kumar Pandey, MD, Gujarat State Tourism. He further mentioned that the proposal would encourage young people in the area to join the BSF or the Indian Army. The project was started to give people a glimpse into the lives and activities of BSF officers on our border.

In addition, a museum at the overlook showcases military vehicles and aircraft, including the MiG-27 fighter jet and numerous BSF columns.
