On Thursday night in CBD-Belapur, a 19-year-old woman died after falling from the seventh storey of a building that was still under construction. She had gone there for a beer party together with her boyfriend and a different young person who is a friend of theirs. According to senior inspector Pramod Toradmal of the NRI coastal police station, the dead girl was a school dropout who resided in Panvel. She visited her lover Shivam Nanavare (20), who works at the D-mart mall in Belapur, on Thursday. For a beer party, they contacted their 23-year-old common buddy Sai Kadam. Kadam is a member of the office staff of the Hyundai store in Kamothe.

The two stated that the girl fell from the edge of the seventh story and landed on the first level as the three of them were enjoying a beer party, leading to their detention for interrogation. She had fatal brain injuries that were serious. Even empty beer bottles had been discovered on the seventh floor. The deceased girl and her fiance Nanavare were set to marry after a protracted romance, according to Inspector Toradmal. Even their parents had given their consent for their union. As a result, she went to Nanavare’s house regularly. The girls persisted on partying outside on Thursday night, despite their plans to have a beer party at Nanavare’s residence, according to the young men.

Hence, the trio went to the under-construction building adjacent to D-mart mall, where they went to the seventh floor.” He added, “As Nanavare went to attend nature’s call, the girl followed him, when she accidentally slipped at the edge of the 7th floor and landed on the first floor. The youths rushed downstairs and found her in a pool of blood due to severe head injuries. They informed the police immediately. Prima facie, we have registered an accidental death case. The deceased girl’s body has been sent to NMMC hospital in Vashi for post-mortem, which will reveal whether the girl had also consumed beer.”
