Hacker of MPSC hall ticket data caught in Pune

The Cyber Cell of the Navi Mumbai Police has detained Rohit Dattatray Kamble (19), who illegally downloaded up to 94195 hall tickets for the Combined Pre-Examination published on the website of the Maharashtra Public Service Commission and illegally broadcast the said hall tickets on the Telegram channel. Rohit is from Pune. The accused, Rohit Kamble, was discovered to have been in contact with several hackers on the darknet and had accepted a 400 dollar fee from them to hack the MPSC exam question papers and hall tickets from the MPAC website, according to Police Commissioner Milind Bharambe.

On April 28, the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) made the applicants’ admission cards (hall tickets) for the Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C Combined Preliminary Exam available online. To download the hall tickets of up to 94195 examinees from the website and transmit the examinees’ hall ticket data on the telegram channel MPSC 2023A, an unidentified hacker illegally accessed the external link posted on the Commission’s website. The Joint Secretary of the Commission, Sunil Avtade, reported the incident to the Navi Mumbai Police’s Cyber Cell, which looked into it and detained the alleged offender, Rohit Dattatray Kamble, at Chikhali, Patil Nagar in Pune.

Rohit has admitted to the police that he and his accomplice committed the aforementioned offence during the course of the police inquiry. He had been detained as a result, according to Police Commissioner Milind Bharambe. With the aid of his allies on the dark web, it’s probable that the accused Rohit Kamble has committed more, similar crimes. Rohit is being extensively probed, according to Police Commissioner Bharambe. According to him, the judge placed him in police detention until May 27.

Navi Mumbai Police Arrest African National With Rs 1 Crore Worth Of Cocaine In Ulwe

The Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) of Navi Mumbai Police arrested Jeorge Ocante DaSilva, a 35-year-old native of Guinea, on Monday for possessing 410 grams of cocaine, allegedly intended for illegal sale. Acting on a tip-off, API Alka Patil of the AHTU led a raid at RM Heights Building in Ulwe, where DaSilva was found in possession of the narcotics.

Around 2:30 p.m. on October 28, officers discovered 410 grams of cocaine, valued at approximately Rs 1,02,50,000, hidden in DaSilva’s bedroom. Authorities also seized a mobile phone, a black Tabata weighing scale, scissors, plastic packaging bags, and a sky bag, bringing the total seizure value to Rs 1,02,55,610.

An FIR was filed at Panvel City Police Station under Sections 8(a) and 21(a) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Dasilva was presented in court and remanded to police custody until October 31, 2024. Investigations are ongoing, with the Crime Branch seeking potential accomplices and sources of the narcotics. Notably, Dasilva has a prior NDPS case registered at Nahar Police Station in Mumbai.
