Dwayne Johnson Rejects Vin Diesel’s ‘Fast 10’ Plea
The rivalry between Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel isn’t going away anytime soon. The newest twist in the feud came when the former turned down the latter’s request to return to the Fast & Furious franchise. The actor-wrestler claimed that he told the xXx star that he would not be returning to the franchise.
Johnson stated that he has “no possibility” of returning to the action film franchise. He also expressed his displeasure with Vin’s reference to his children and late actor Paul Walker when requesting Dwayne to return.
Dwayne Johnson turns down Vin Diesel’s offer to star in Fast & Furious 10.
In an interview with CNN, Dwayne Johnson stated that he told Vin ‘personally’ and that his remarks were ‘strong yet kind’ in announcing that he will not be appearing in the next chapter of the franchise, Fast 10. ‘The Rock’ also stated that he would always be supportive of the cast and root for the franchise’s success.
Vin’s public request for Dwayne Johnson to return to the franchise on Instagram, however, did not sit well with him. Vin’s post, according to the Red Notice star, was an “example of his manipulation.”

He expressed his displeasure with the latter’s mention of his children in the post, as well as Paul Walker’s death. ‘Leave them out of it,’ he responded, adding that they had discussed it months before and had reached a “clear understanding.”
His intention, he added, was to end his “wonderful adventure” with the “great” franchise with “thanks and grace.” Dwayne Johnson called it “unfortunate” that his public debate with Vin Diesel had “muddied the waters.” He expressed confidence in the next Fast film’s ability to deliver for the public and wished his former partners well.
Vin had a message for his ‘little brother,’ Dwayne, in an Instagram picture on November 8. The former said that Fast 10’s time had come, and that ‘legacy awaits,’ as fans awaited the film with bated breath. He went on to say that his children referred to Dwayne as “Uncle Dwayne” and that they never failed to greet him on holidays.
Vin also said he promised ‘Pablo,’ meaning Paul Walker, that he would make the ‘Best Fast’ in the championship. He begged Dwayne to keep the franchise alive by saying that no one could play Hobbs better than he could. “I hope you rise to the occasion and achieve your destiny,” Vin ended in his message to Dwayne, stating that he had a significant role.
Dwayne Johnson has been a part of the Fast & Furious franchise since 2011, starring in Fast & Furious 6, Furious 7, and The Fate of the Furious. The rivalry began with Dwayne’s now-deleted Instagram post, which poked fun at several of the cast members without naming them, and was widely assumed to be directed at Vin. Vin asserted that they were close friends and that things were exaggerated. However, Dwayne was absent from the most recent film, F9.

Retired Pensioner Duped of Rs 1.57 Crore in Fake Digital Arrest Scam
Cyber fraudsters hold a 90-year-old Nerul resident and his wife under virtual captivity for six weeks by posing as government authorities.
The Scam
A 90-year-old retired Central Government pensioner and his wife residing in Nerul fell victim to a massive cyber fraud, losing Rs 1.57 crore after being held under a terrifying “digital arrest” for nearly six weeks. The ordeal began when the victim received a phone call from an individual posing as a telecommunications officer who claimed the elderly man’s mobile number was linked to illegal activities in Bengaluru, before handing the video call over to accomplices impersonating officers from the CBI, Supreme Court, Karnataka Police, and Reserve Bank of India.
To trap the couple in complete isolation, the fraudsters presented forged arrest warrants over WhatsApp, invoked strict legal threats under the Official Secrets Act, and ordered them to stay confined inside their home without informing family or friends. Operating under the guise of an urgent financial audit by the RBI to clear their names, the scammers manipulated the terrified couple into transferring their lifetime savings across multiple transactions, even sending fake Supreme Court receipts to maintain the illusion of an ongoing legal procedure.
The couple finally realized they had been tricked after coming across newspaper reports describing identical scam tactics, prompting them to approach the Navi Mumbai Cyber Police, who have now registered a formal case and urged citizens to remember that no legitimate agency ever carries out arrests or demands fund transfers over video calls.

Daily Commute Turns Hazardous on Turbhe Flyover
Potholes, poor visibility, and aggressive swerving endanger motorists navigating the vital Navi Mumbai corridor.
The Flyover
Traversing the Turbhe flyover has turned into a perilous daily ordeal for thousands of commuters as decaying road conditions and inadequate lighting create severe safety hazards along one of Navi Mumbai’s busiest transit routes. Motorists report that deep potholes, uneven asphalt patches, and loose gravel have compromised overall vehicle stability across the elevated stretch, placing two-wheeler riders at an exceptionally high risk of skidding during peak rush hours or sudden rainfall.
The deteriorating infrastructure frequently forces drivers to slam on their brakes or make sudden, erratic lane changes to dodge deep craters, triggering frustrating traffic bottlenecks and constant minor rear-end collisions. Making matters worse, non-functional streetlights across key segments leave long stretches of the flyover shrouded in darkness at night, hiding severe road defects from oncoming traffic and making temporary, low-quality patch-up jobs wash away rapidly.
Fed up with piecemeal fixes, local residents and motorist associations are urgently demanding that civic authorities and traffic police intervene by executing full-scale asphalt resurfacing, restoring missing street illumination, and deploying officers to strictly curb reckless lane-cutting during rush hours.

Soil Erosion in Matheran Threatens Morbe Dam’s Storage Capacity
Heavy seasonal run-off risks long-term water shortages for Navi Mumbai residents.
The Capacity
Heavy monsoon rainfall in the hill station of Matheran is driving substantial volumes of soil and sediment down its steep slopes directly into the Morbe Dam catchment area, raising serious concerns over the reservoir’s long-term holding capacity. As the primary drinking water source for the Navi Mumbai region, the dam plays a critical role in daily supply, making any threat to its structural volume a pressing civic issue.
Environmentalists and local observers warn that as tons of silt settle at the bottom of the reservoir year after year, it steadily displaces water storage, gradually shrinking the total amount of water the dam can hold. Over time, this loss of functional capacity heightens the risk of water scarcity during hot summer months or prolonged dry spells.
Furthermore, the influx of muddy run-off increases overall water turbidity, requiring extensive filtration and treatment before it reaches household taps. To protect the city’s water security, experts are stressing the immediate need for targeted preventive action, including desilting efforts around key catchment zones alongside robust soil conservation measures such as check-dam construction and targeted afforestation across Matheran’s slopes to trap sediment at the source before it ever reaches the reservoir bed.
