BJPs Lotus will emerge in 2023 says Karnataka Chief Minister

Published

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai stated on Thursday that the BJP’s success would have a direct impact on the Karnataka Assembly elections, following the party’s huge victory in four of the five states that went to polls. The victories, according to Bommai, will ensure that the BJP’s lotus blooms in the state elections due for early next year. While complimenting the party’s performance across the country, the state CM also urged party members to get ready to work and return the BJP to power.

When CM Bommai was speaking at an event to commemorate the BJP’s victories in the five states, he claimed that the elections have given the party more hope in Karnataka. “Our responsibility has increased,” Bommai stated, referring to the BJP’s victory in four of the five states in the election. He went on to say that the state unit has already begun planning for the state elections, which will take place in 2023.

“We need to work harder to put the state budget’s social programmes into action. I’ve already told the officials to finish the files by the end of the month and issue the work orders by the end of April. All of the programmes would be implemented as soon as possible, and it will be our obligation to get them to the common man,” the Karnataka chief minister stated, according to ANI.

CM Bommai also ordered party workers to publicise welfare programmes at the booth level and assist individuals in taking advantage of them. “Through our government’s public welfare programmes and the BJP’s organisational strength, we have committed to see the Lotus bloom and win the 2023 Assembly election.” He stated, “By returning to power for the next 5 years, we have pledged to construct a thriving state.”

“With our senior leader BS Yediyurappa and central leaders, we would go on a state tour to further strengthen the party in every corner of the state.” “We’re already on the job,” the CM added, urging party members to work for the BJP’s re-election in the next elections. His remarks came after the BJP received a large majority of votes in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa, and Manipur. Meanwhile, the AAP swept Punjab, capturing 92 seats and forming the state’s first government.

CM Bommai says Congress is fighting for its life.

CM Bommai also addressed the opposition, claiming that the Congress party was fighting for its very existence. “In the rest of the country, Congress has plunged.” In Karnataka, it will sink as well. Congress is fighting for its very existence. At the national and state levels, Congress has lost its way. It has lost all of its bases around the country. “While the BJP fights for the country’s future, the Congress fights for its survival,” the CM remarked.

“In four states, the BJP has won. In the following days, we will win in Gujarat. Bommai expressed confidence in the impending elections, saying, “The triumph of the BJP in Karnataka is as true as the Sun rising in the East.” He claimed that Congress was distributing incentives such as a refrigerator, television, and other items to its party workers. “Congressmen are used to giving and taking. Without it, nothing works. They will take ten times more what they are currently offering,” the Karnataka chief minister remarked. He went on to say that the party’s standing in the country was now in a “terrible situation.”

Navi Mumbai Civic Body Bridges the Healthcare Gap with Free Screenings and Follow-up Care Across Local Centers.

The Drive

In a major boost to public health, 1,292 citizens were screened during a free cancer detection drive conducted across various health centers by the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC).

The initiative focused on early detection for common cancers including oral, breast, and cervical cancers giving local residents access to crucial preventive care close to home. Medical teams set up diagnostic stations at Urban Primary Health Centers (UPHCs) to ensure seamless access, particularly for working-class and middle-income families.

Beyond basic checkups, civic health teams provided guidance on early warning signs, lifestyle risks, and the importance of routine health monitoring. Citizens identified with potential symptoms received direct referrals to municipal hospitals for further testing and subsidized follow-up treatment.

Community health drives play an essential role in saving lives by catching illnesses before they progress. By making preventive care accessible to all, NMMC continues to strengthen healthcare infrastructure across the city.

The Hospital

Access to quality healthcare just got a major boost for local families. Meta Multispeciality Hospital officially opened its doors in Ghansoli Sector 4, promising state-of-the-art medical technology alongside a deeply human approach to community care.

The facility was inaugurated by Forest Minister and Palghar Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik, who toured the premises to inspect its emergency wards, OPD facilities, and advanced diagnostic machinery. Speaking to attendees, Naik praised the hospital’s leadership for prioritizing affordable, high-quality treatment for middle-class households.

What sets the hospital apart, however, is its landmark social welfare initiative announced during the opening by community leader Sagar Chougule and hospital administrator Dr. Swarna Shelke:

  • Free Maternity Care for Girl Child Deliveries: To celebrate and encourage the birth of female children, the hospital will waive all delivery charges for mothers giving birth to baby girls.
  • Free OPD Services for Seniors: Outpatient consultations will be entirely free for senior citizens aged 65 and above.

“Healthcare shouldn’t feel like an unbearable financial burden,” said Dr. Shelke. “Our primary goal is to bring modern medical infrastructure within reach of every everyday citizen.”

With monsoon-related illnesses on the rise, the team also plans to host free community health camps to catch seasonal infections early. By blending modern medicine with genuine community compassion, the new hospital aims to build a healthier, safer Navi Mumbai.
