Navi Mumbai: Bharatiya Janta Yuva Morcha president Suhasini Ramesh Naidu wrote a letter to the commissioner of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation(NMMC) demanding a sports complex for youth and children in sector 2 of Nerul. She demanded the sports complex in place of the sewage treatment plant in Ward no. 84 of Nerul sector 2 that is being shifted to another location.

In the letter to the commissioner, she said that physical activities are very important for children and youth for their physical and mental wellbeing and a new sports complex would be beneficial for the residents to prepare their children to improve their skills in sports.

The letter reads “We all know that sports and exercises are very important for every individual as parallel to academics, it helps individuals to stay fit and active. physical workout is very important for youth and children for the development of their brain too.
Sir I would like to bring your notice towards few more benefits of a sports complex. The sports club will help residents to inculcate discipline, This can help them to coordinate with each other and provide a good environment for them. opening a sports club will help residents to prepare their children to improve their skills and help them to prepare for further levels of sports competition. These activities are very important for career development in the future. As we are aware that the sewage treatment plant (STP) of sector-2, Nerul is shifting to another location,  We want NMMC to build a Sports complex with modern facilities in that area.
So, it’s a request to open a sports club in our area for the all-around development of children and youths. Your consideration will be highly appreciated.”
