An Ultimatum for inaugurating the first Day care center was submitted by Vishal Dolas in Navi Mumbai

Former Corporator Shree Vishal Dolas has given the NMMC a final ultimatum to inaugurate the Day Care Center  which was built last year.

The Day Care Center 

Last year the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) created the city’s first Day care center in Navi Mumbai. The Day Care Center was a ambitious project & was created at Sector 48 Seawoods, Navi Mumbai. The center was built to give a helping hand to all the working women’s of Navi Mumbai who find it really very hard to take care of their young ones & would have also offer them a sigh of relief & must help them to concentrated on their work. But, The NMMC since last year have not found an auspicious day or time to inaugurate the Day-care center, which is not good when thinking of the society. The NMMC’s social development department is the authority that is responsible behind the Day Care center that is unlaunched till date.

Shree Vishal Dolas has submitted an ultimatum to the NMMC’s officials to inaugurate the much awaited Day care center or be ready to face Agitation.

Speaking to the media Shree Vishal Dolas said, “first of all we don’t know why they are delaying the launch of this beautiful Day care center here in Seawoods & when we raise the question they usually say that because of transfer & planning of new project its been delayed. We have also submitted a memo to the NMMC Commissioner stating the issue & we think that the authority of the Social Development Department is not getting the seriousness of the delay.” further he said that we have submitted an ultimatum to the corporation that if in the next 15 days no action is taken for the inauguration & launch of the center then it has to be ready to face agitation from our side.

Navi Mumbai Police Arrest African National With Rs 1 Crore Worth Of Cocaine In Ulwe

The Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) of Navi Mumbai Police arrested Jeorge Ocante DaSilva, a 35-year-old native of Guinea, on Monday for possessing 410 grams of cocaine, allegedly intended for illegal sale. Acting on a tip-off, API Alka Patil of the AHTU led a raid at RM Heights Building in Ulwe, where DaSilva was found in possession of the narcotics.

Around 2:30 p.m. on October 28, officers discovered 410 grams of cocaine, valued at approximately Rs 1,02,50,000, hidden in DaSilva’s bedroom. Authorities also seized a mobile phone, a black Tabata weighing scale, scissors, plastic packaging bags, and a sky bag, bringing the total seizure value to Rs 1,02,55,610.

An FIR was filed at Panvel City Police Station under Sections 8(a) and 21(a) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Dasilva was presented in court and remanded to police custody until October 31, 2024. Investigations are ongoing, with the Crime Branch seeking potential accomplices and sources of the narcotics. Notably, Dasilva has a prior NDPS case registered at Nahar Police Station in Mumbai.

Thane Sees Surge of Nomination Filings for 2024 Vidhan Sabha Election

The final day for filing nominations for the 2024 Vidhan Sabha General Election witnessed a surge of candidates in Thane district, with a total of 281 applications submitted across 18 assembly constituencies. This high turnout signals a competitive race for seats in the upcoming election.

Among the nominees, 114 candidates represent various political parties, while 167 have filed as independents, reflecting a diverse array of participants aiming to represent Thane’s voters.
