According to reports, official Dhirendra Byas has informed the Indore district court that the individual who assaulted him is someone he does not recognise.

He informed the court on February 18, 2022, that when the event occurred, he was conversing on his phone and didn’t notice the attacker. In his original complaint, he identified Akash Vijayvargiya as the perpetrator.

He went on to say that he was struck from behind and that he had no idea who hit him. When he turned around, he saw three to four persons holding bats in their hands, and he named Akash Vijayvargiya in his complaint because he was also wielding a cricket bat. On February 25th, 2022, the court will hear this case again.

The assault on Dhirendra Byas with a cricket bat was recorded on camera by BJP MLA Akash Vijayvargiya. Following the incident, he was arrested and a case against him was filed.

The Indore municipal corporation employees and Akash Vijayvargiya had a verbal spat over the demolition of an old building in the Ganji Compound area of Indore. He had used a cricket bat to strike Dheerendra Bais, a corporation officer at the time. In this event that occurred on June 26th, 2019, Akash Vijayvargiya was detained. This case was previously tried before a special court in Bhopal. The statement recorded by the complaint officer Dheerendra Bais was cross-examined now that a special court has been created in Indore in this regard.

The complainant told the judge that there were more than a hundred people when he arrived on the scene to raze the building, according to senior lawyer Avinash Sirpurkar, who is representing the BJP MLA in this case. Akash Vijayvargiya reached there after 15 minutes.

According to reports, Bais informed the judge that he was on the phone when he was assaulted from behind with a cricket bat. When he turned around, he spotted three to four people wielding cricket bats. One of them was Akash Vijayvargiya. In addition, he was wielding a bat. As a result, Bais designated him as a defendant in the lawsuit. On February 25, 2022, further witnesses will be cross-examined, according to Sirpurkar.
