Most individuals who lost their mobile phones think they will never find them again, however, those who report them lost to Koparkhairane police do not experience this. About 300 cell phones have been found and returned to their respective owners by the police station in the previous seven months.

“A person has been tasked with investigating the missing phones, and he has been working hard to locate the cell phones. Senior police inspector Audumbar Patil of the Koparkhairane police station stated, “We recently handed over 35 mobile phones worth Rs 7 lakh.”

“I try my level best to get back each mobile that goes missing,” stated Police Constable Rahul More, the person in charge of all the mobile tracing. Only 85 to 90 percent of them are found even after that. Unused phones that are reported missing are not tracked down. One of the more intriguing cases he solved was tracking down a stolen cell phone from Dubai. “First of all, once an iPhone is locked, it is impossible to track it down. It can be utilized if just it is opened.

When an iPhone is stolen, its parts are often sold. In one instance, the thieves gained access to the woman whose iPhone was taken when they emailed her a link, which the woman inadvertently clicked. The phone’s lock was unlocked after it was clicked, allowing the criminal to format and resell it, according to More.

When the phone was eventually used in Delhi, the user was contacted by More. “The user informed me that one of his cousins from Dubai gave him the phone as a present. When the guy got in touch with his relative, he discovered that the phone had been bought from a store in Dubai, and they had also split the bill. They were persuaded that it was correct when we gave them the specifics of the missing complaint and the IMEI number.

The phone was couriered to us by kind individuals, More continued. More has also located a second lost phone in Bangladesh. “I am having trouble communicating with the person in Bangladesh due to a language barrier, and I am currently looking for someone who can assist me in communicating with them,” he continued. During his Friday visit to the Koparkhairane police station, Additional Commissioner Deepak Sakore personally commended More for his efforts in tracking down the cell phones.
