The Channel
With the goal of raising public awareness of important safety problems, Navi Mumbai Police has started a new social media project. The “Navi Mumbai Police” WhatsApp channel was created with the intention of enlightening the public about issues including financial fraud, cybercrime, women’s safety, and anti-drug campaigns. The Maharashtra Director General of Police will formally launch the channel on August 14; users will then get daily awareness programming.
This program is a part of Navi Mumbai Police’s larger plan to use digital platforms and social media to interact with the public in order to combat the rising issues of financial fraud, drugs, cybercrime, and crimes against women. This channel will feature awareness films, memes, and digital posters made by well-known people in a variety of sectors, such as Marathi and Hindi cinema stars and actresses. These will center on subjects including financial fraud, women’s safety, anti-drug campaigns, and cyber security. The identical information will also be shared on Navi Mumbai Police’s official Facebook and Instagram sites in addition to WhatsApp.
