Airoli MLA Ganesh Naik visits NMMC Hospital in Navi Mumbai.

The Visit

As the health of the people of Navi Mumbai was his top priority, Airoli MLA Ganesh Naik saw the state of disrepair of all the hospitals run by the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation during the Corona period. He then demanded that all of the hospitals’ operating rooms be upgraded to ultra-modern standards. Following this, the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation Health Department made significant progress based on the same information from Ganesh Naik.

Considering this, Airoli MLA Ganesh Naik visited the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation Public Hospital in Vashi. He examined the hospital’s independent, state-of-the-art operating theatre and recorded the general state and operation of its contemporary equipment. This is the first time a high-tech operation room with German technological equipment has been constructed by a municipal body. Former MP Sanjeev Naik accompanied Ganesh Naik on the operation room inspection.

Dr. Prakash Radhor, RMO of Vashi Municipal Corporation Hospital, and Dr. Rajesh Mate, Chief Vedic Officer of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation, were also present at Suraj Shivalay. During the Corona period, the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation administration, at the request of Airoli MLA Ganesh Naik, took up the task of equipping a total of 12 operation theatres in the hospitals under the jurisdiction of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation with state-of-the-art equipment and facilities.

Now, all 12 operating rooms of the Municipal Corporation hospitals are equipped with state-of-the-art German technology. With addition to enabling speedier and better procedures for common and impoverished patients at the hospital using the newest technology, this special operating theatre will enable difficult procedures with a lower risk factor.

Further, Ganesh Naik stated that Navi Mumbai will become the biggest city in the world by importing German machinery for the first time in India.

New centres in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Nagpur aim to make property registration quicker and more convenient.

The Launch

Property registration in Maharashtra is set to become more convenient with the launch of three new Model Sub-Registrar Offices (SROs) in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Nagpur.

The new centres have been opened at BKC in Mumbai, Mahape in Navi Mumbai and North Ambazari Road in Nagpur. The initiative is aimed at reducing waiting time and making the registration process smoother through greater use of digital services.

Citizens can complete Public Data Entry (PDE) online, make payments through the government portal and book appointments through the e-Step In system. The offices will handle common property-related documents, including sale deeds, lease deeds, gift deeds, powers of attorney and wills.

The new facilities are designed to offer a more comfortable experience for citizens. They include air-conditioned waiting areas, Wi-Fi, drinking water and trained staff to assist applicants during the registration process. However, the Model SROs will operate as an optional service alongside existing government registration offices. Citizens choosing the new service will have to pay an additional service fee of Rs 5,500, while regular SROs will continue to provide registration services without this fee.

The state government plans to expand the initiative by establishing 60 Model SROs across Maharashtra in phases. For property buyers, sellers and families handling property documents, the new centres are expected to provide a more organised and technology-driven registration experience.
