Bharat Petroleum Pump in Kharghar was recognised for paying property tax in the amount of Rs. 1,10,96000 by the property tax division of the Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC). The corporation’s contribution to the city’s growth was recognised by the civic authority.

Ganesh Deshmukh, the head of the civic department, had earlier urged the populace to pay their property taxes in order to participate in the city’s growth. Citizens responded positively to the request, and in the last several days, the local authority has seen industrial units come forward to pay their property tax. Deputy Commissioner Ganesh Shete gave a bouquet of flowers to Bharat Petroleum in Kharghar for paying their property tax of 1,10,96000.

Property tax-paying industrial establishments

Property tax payments of lakhs have been made in the recent several months by numerous industrial facilities and residential property owners from all areas of Panvel, Kalamboli, Kamothe, Kharghar, Taloja, and New Panvel. Among them are Sakal Papers, Dharkar N Sundarlal, Central Oil, Bharat Petroleum, Tata Steel, and G&T Oil State Industries.  Bhumi Gardenia Co-op Housing Society and others who hold residential property might be compared.

Property tax payments have increased as a result of the Bombay High Court refusing to give a stay on property tax recovery.
