The Bhumi Pujan
MLA Shreemati Manda Mhatre has led the transformation of Diwale village in Navi Mumbai, which is a major step towards achieving the goal of making villages smart. As per the Deputy Chief Minister Shree Devendra Fadnavis’s Village Adoption Scheme and in line with Prime Minister Modi’s plan for smart villages.
With tremendous excitement, the Bhumi Pujan, or ground-breaking ceremony, for a new jetty and solar high mast for the local fisherman, concluded. The MLA Manda Mhatre, who had already assisted in the construction of a small jetty in 2004, agreed that enhancements were required. Currently, the government has approved about Rs. 10 crores for a jetty that is completely furnished. For the local fisherman, this development is vital because of its advantageous location in front of the recently built Navi Mumbai International Airport, which is expected to have a major positive impact on their businesses.
Furthermore, a sizeable sum of Rs. 25 crores has been set aside for the installation of Solar Highmasts throughout Navi Mumbai, with a particular emphasis on Diwale village. MLA Manda Mhatre stressed that the funds are actively being made accessible for the development initiatives and are not just empty promises. A well-equipped fish market, a school, a park, a fish drying platform, a community temple, a ring road, a Swadhyaya hall, toilets for the public, kid-friendly play areas, recreation centers, a Gazebo Garden, an Open Gym, four-wheel parking, a vegetable and fruit market, and beautification initiatives are just a few of the amenities that the MLA allocated funds for in order to demonstrate her commitment to improving Diwale Gaon.
MLA Manda Mhatre emphasized that Diwale Gaon’s transformation into a smart village will enhance public activities, healthcare, education, and hygiene in addition to generating employment opportunities.
