Bhavesh Patil, Yuva Sena’s Belapur Coordinator, launched a Deep Clean Drive in Sanpada with NMMC’s support. Inspired by Deputy CM Eknath Shinde’s mission, the campaign aims to improve sanitation in Navi Mumbai’s village areas.

The Drive

Inspired by the cleanliness campaign launched by Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Bhavesh Patil, the Belapur Vidhan Sabha Coordinator of Yuva Sena, has initiated a “Swachh Parisar Abhiyan – Deep Clean Drive” in Navi Mumbai’s village areas. The pilot drive was successfully conducted in Sanpada village with support from the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC), Shiv Sena, and Yuva Sena.

Concerned about growing sanitation issues in Navi Mumbai’s Gaothan (village) and slum areas, Patil had earlier written to Deputy CM Shinde, requesting municipal machinery support for deep cleaning neglected zones. Responding positively, the Urban Development Department issued special directives to NMMC to assist the campaign.

On Friday, the pilot drive was launched in Sanpada with the active participation of Yuva Sena’s youth brigade, including Rahul Date, Ajinkya Patil, Vivek Patil, Sunil Lambore, Akhilesh Sarvade, and Aditya Chavan. Municipal officials including Sanitation Officer Jayesh Patil, Inspector Sushma Devghar, and Yogesh Patil also supervised the operation.

The team targeted garbage accumulated between building gaps and internal lanes—waste that had not been addressed for years. Thanks to combined efforts of municipal workers, volunteers, and residents, large quantities of waste and foul material were safely removed.

Bhavesh Patil stated that this initiative will now be extended across Navi Mumbai in phases. He urged citizens to responsibly dispose of wet and dry waste separately and stop dumping trash from windows. The campaign marks a significant step toward a cleaner and healthier Navi Mumbai.
