‘Boycott Kareena Kapoor Khan’ is trending on Twitter, Here’s why
Bollywood actor Kareena Kapoor Khan became one of the top trends on Twitter. However, it is not for a good reason. The actress is being criticized after reports alleging her charging a whopping Rs 12 crore fee for playing Sita Mata on-screen surfaced online. Days after a media report claimed that the actress has demanded such a big amount for the upcoming mythological period saga ‘Sita’, the angry public took to Twitter demanding to boycott the actress. It is to be noted, that there has been no official confirmation about Kareena’s fee.
Apparently, people are miffed with Kareena Kapoor Khan for asking for such a whopping amount. A number of users on the micro-blogging site have alleged that she is hurting religious sentiments and her ‘demands’ for the role are ‘against humanity. #BoycottKareenaKhan has been trending on Twitter for a while now.
Slamming Kareena, a user tweeted, “Remember the way she arrogantly replied to the public that it’s you idiots who make us star, Don’t watch my films, I don’t care. Let’s not watch such unworthy people. She playing in the mythological film is disgusting #BoycottKareenaKhan.” Some also suggested that Kangana Ranaut or Yami Gautam should play the role of Sita.

In Mahape MIDC, A 24-year-old Man Was Beaten To Death Over Chikkis
In a shop, a 24-year-old man died over two tiny pieces of chikkis from a jar on the counter. The victim, Juyal Imran Khan, 24, of Panvel, was beaten to death by three men on Saturday for stealing chikkis from a shop located at plot no. A/ 544 of Mahape MIDC without authorization.
Khan traveled to Rabale to meet a friend in Gothavli hamlet with his companion Irfan Latif Shaikh, who is twenty-eight. While traveling back from Rabale on Saturday at around 2:00 pm, they became thirsty and made the decision to purchase a bottle of water from a store.
Khan went into a store to get a bottle of water, but while he was there, he opened a jar that was on the counter table, removed two chikkis without permission, and took a bite off of them. The shopkeeper, Anil Kumar, also known as Lagesh Bagelu Gautam (20), became irritated by the behavior and began arguing with Khan.
While at the store, Khan was smoking tobacco, and Gautam got angry when he placed his hand in his mouth. Two other people from the surrounding shop joined Gautam in attacking Khan as the disagreement turned violent, according to police inspector Sunil Waghmare of the Rabale MIDC police station.
Two more men joined Gautam in attacking Khan: Sandesh Subhash Jabbar (age 26) and Sursingh Chandeya Jamuda (age 55). Khan was taken to a hospital by Shaikh, who accompanied him; upon arrival, he was pronounced dead. Shaikh then filed a complaint and told the police. Khan suffered many fractures and a brain injury as a result of the accused’s assault using an iron rod.
The three accused were subsequently taken into custody by the police under sections 103 (1)-murder committed by a group, 115 (1) and 118 (1)-voluntarily causing harm, 352 (1)-intentional harm, and 3-(5) criminal conduct with common intent of Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS). The defendants are being held in police custody until October 17.

Massive Fire Breaks Out at Navi Mumbai’s NRI Complex, No Casualties Reported
A massive fire broke out on the 17th floor of a residential building in the NRI Complex in Navi Mumbai on Monday. The fire caused thick black smoke to billow from the top of the building, as seen in videos shared by news agency. Local residents quickly gathered in the area, but no injuries or casualties have been reported.
Upon receiving information about the fire, the fire brigade and local police promptly arrived at the scene. Fire tenders from the Nerul and Vashi areas were deployed to tackle the blaze. The fire brigade used a Bronto skylift to reach the 17th floor, where the fire had erupted, to carry out dousing operations.
While the exact cause of the fire is still unknown, authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident. Quick action by emergency services ensured the situation was brought under control, preventing the fire from spreading to other floors or nearby buildings.
The NRI Complex, a prominent residential area in Navi Mumbai, is home to several high-rise buildings. Residents have expressed relief that no injuries occurred, and further updates on the fire’s cause and any property damage are awaited.

Navi Mumbai Durga Puja Associations Pay Tribute to Late Ratan Tata
As the nation mourns the loss of Shri Ratan Tata, an industrialist, visionary leader, and philanthropist, various Durga Puja associations across Navi Mumbai have come together to honor his remarkable legacy during the ongoing Navaratri festivities.

Ratan Tata’s last rites were held on 10th October at Worli crematorium with state honors. Dignitaries including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde, and Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel attended the ceremony. Citizens are now calling for Tata to be posthumously awarded the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian honor, in recognition of his lasting contributions to the nation.
