Amit Shah mentioned Yogi Adityanath as a potential prime ministerial contender

Published

Home Minister Amit Shah hinted at the likelihood of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath becoming the BJP’s next prime ministerial candidate in a recent interview. While applauding Adityanath for his outstanding leadership in the state, he stated that the party’s winnability in the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections will be enhanced by strong administration, development, and the party’s democratic credentials.

“Naturally, so much work has already been done under him, after so many years,” Amit Shah remarked when questioned about Yogi Adityanath being tipped as a possible prime ministerial contender in some quarters. Amit Shah did not rule out the idea. He also didn’t mince words when listing the Yogi government’s accomplishments. “UP has 30 medical colleges…we’ll make sure that each district gets one.” The state features two AIIMS, as well as a research center for Japanese encephalitis. The BJP government has launched 77 new institutions and created ten new universities. In Uttar Pradesh, our administration has also renovated and refurbished 1.40 lakh colleges.” he concluded

Many people would be surprised by Amit Shah’s frank suggestion that the monk may become the next Prime Minister. The BJP was riding high on the Modi wave against the current administration led by Akhilesh Yadav in 2017 when it decided to run for assembly elections without a CM face. Yogi Adityanath has become a household name in Uttar Pradesh after just five years in office.

“This time, our power has grown,” Shah remarked, referring to the benefits of the dual-engine ki sarkar (powered by Modi and Yogi). Modiji has not vanished. Along with him, we have the Yogi government’s five-year achievements in Uttar Pradesh. The BJP has a plethora of other advantages. As a result, I think we’re better.”

During the election season, the BJP’s master strategy of uniting castes under the banner of Hindutva has received a lot of attention. While the BJP’s election rallies scream “Jaati dharm se uth kar badaya hai Samman, sabse Pehle Garib Kalyan,” the party is seeing fissures among its concentrated OBC vote. “No caste group has strayed away from us,” the HM stated in response to this. Some leaders have resigned. In Uttar Pradesh, no one may claim ownership of a certain community’s votes. Every voter makes his or her own decision.”

“Do not look at the job sector like Communists, who only see government positions as employment,” Amit Shah urged, referring to the contentious topic of employment. This is not the case. There’s a distinction to be made between jobs and employment. The work situation has improved. It’s normal for individuals to discuss their professions. However, you must see the distinction: because there are so many startups, we have enhanced our e-marketing chances.”

The BJP has suffered no substantial losses as a result of the departure of several prominent officials in Uttar Pradesh, according to Amit Shah. He went on to say that while the candidates had changed, the approach had not and that the leaders’ moving away was a “natural” part of electoral democracy.

“How can you reject the fact that he (the Akhilesh administration) freed people who were accused under anti-terrorist legislation, and that the Allahabad High Court intervened?” PM Modi said when asked about the Samajwadi Party’s emblem (cycle) being associated with terrorism during a rally.

He declared clearly that now the BJP does not label any political party as anti-national. “However, if any party supports anti-nationals, we will expose them.” It is our duty. We would label any administration that withdraws proceedings against terrorists as anti-national,” he stated.

He concluded by praising Yogi’s leadership and claiming that his party is optimistic about a win in Uttar Pradesh. “Yogi Adityanath has lived an exemplary life and has made significant contributions to law and order.” It has progressed so far in Uttar Pradesh that it has become a political problem.” He pledged to have delivered 92 percent of the commitments stated in the 2017 platform, from governance to infrastructure to welfare.

Construction Projects Must Utilize Tertiary Processed Recycled Water, Under NMMC Regulations

NMMC mandates use of tertiary treated recycled water for construction projects.

The Regulation

In a major step towards water conservation, the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has made it mandatory for developers to use tertiary treated recycled water in all construction projects approved by the Town Planning Department.

The initiative aims to curb the rising demand for potable water as the city grapples with declining rainfall and increasing concerns over water scarcity. With several redevelopment projects underway, the consumption of drinking water for construction has surged, putting additional strain on resources.

To address this, NMMC is leveraging its advanced sewage treatment infrastructure. The city currently operates seven sewage treatment plants using Sequential Batch Reactor (SBR) technology. Additionally, tertiary treatment plants at Koparkhairane and Airoli utilize Ultra Filtration and Ultraviolet-Based Technology to further purify secondary treated water. This recycled water is already being supplied to industrial establishments in the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) area for non-potable use.

By enforcing the use of recycled water in construction, NMMC aims to reduce reliance on drinking water and promote sustainability. This regulation is expected to play a crucial role in preserving Navi Mumbai’s water resources for the future while ensuring responsible urban development.
