AAP can run for office but the BJP is the constant choice of the people : Gujarat CM

Published

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel dismissed the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) challenge to the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) in Gujarat, saying the party will win the state’s Assembly elections later this year. After winning Punjab, Arvind Kejriwal’s AAP has turned its attention to Gujarat. After gaining 27 seats in the Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) in February 2021, Kejriwal challenged the saffron party, alleging it was the only party that had done so.

“Any party, whether it AAP or any other, can contest elections,” CM Patel told ANI. It is a fundamental component of our democratic system. We don’t work for polls in the BJP. The AAP received a lot of attention during the Gandhinagar corporation elections, however, they were defeated, with the BJP winning 41 of the 44 wards.” Gujarat’s chief minister has added his two cents.

In Gujarat, the BJP is seeking a sixth term.

Speaking further on AAP and elections, the CM stated that it is too early to discuss elections and that AAP contesting elections in the state is what democracy is all about.

“India is a thriving democracy, and if voters choose to give the Opposition in Gujarat just a few seats, whether to AAP or Congress, remains to be seen.” People in the state have consistently voted for the BJP. We will work hard in the future, but our track record shows that we are the greatest choice for the people of Gujarat as we seek a sixth term,” he added.

‘No one could ever walk in his shoes,’ says Bhupendra Patel of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Patel went on to say that everyone draws inspiration from I’m when it comes to moving PM’s job ahead in his state.

“It’s only natural that Prime Minister Modi inspires all of the party’s workers. We’re merely attempting to advance his work. “No one wants to, or can ever, put themselves in his shoes,” he remarked.

The CM also commented on the change of reign in September of last year, saying “The BJP is a party of hardworking people. Our government and organization collaborate rather than work in silos. Between these two, there is no shortage of cooperation.”
