Ulwe police station inaugurated to enhance safety and services.

The Inauguration

On Monday, Navi Mumbai Police Commissioner Milind Bharambe inaugurated the new Ulwe Police Station, marking a major advancement in public safety and service delivery. With CIDCO’s massive housing projects playing a major role in the Ulwe area’s rapid population growth—which has already topped 2 lakhs—the new facility seeks to enhance security and offer effective services.

Commissioner Bharambe stressed the police’s dedication to provide residents excellent service while carrying out a number of programs for the safety and welfare of women and other people, especially senior citizens, during the inauguration event. He promised that the police would keep working together to provide all services in an open and efficient way, which would help Ulwe’s citizens even more. Deputy Commissioner of Police Prashant Mohite, Deputy Commissioner of Headquarters Sanjay Kumar Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Crime Branch Amit Kale, Additional Commissioner of Crime Branch Deepak Sakore, Uran MLA Mahesh Baldi, Joint Commissioner of Police Sanjay Singh Yenpure, and Deputy Commissioner of Traffic Tirupati Kakade were among the notable attendees.

Commissioner Bharambe explained the reasoning behind the construction of the new police station, saying that a proposal for the Ulwe Police Station was presented to the government in light of the area’s need for safety and the quick population expansion in Ulwe. MLA Mahesh Baldi enabled the approval of the new police station with the goal of improving security and providing locals with better services.

“The increased police presence in the area will help curb criminal activities, which will benefit citizens, especially women,” Commissioner Bharambe said. In order to minimize any difficulty for both the police officers and the people who are in need of police services, he suggested temporarily establishing the police station in a CIDCO or another private structure, even though he agreed that the construction of a permanent police station building would take time.

Speaking at the occasion, MLA Mahesh Baldi recommended actions to enhance public safety, including closing the weekly market and tackling the local extortion threat. He underlined how crucial it is for the police to take preventative action in order to give Ulwe residents a safer environment.
