Kapil Swami (Convenor,GUjrat) and Mrs Ruchi Chaturvedi( Poetess ) were the Chief Guests of the virtual session. The meeting was presided by the Founder National President, Shri. Rajesh Jha. The other dignitaries who attended the meeting are Smt. Sanyukta Kumari Keshri (Deputy Chairman and State President, Delhi) , Smt.Chitra Dalal (National General Secretary), Shri. Adarsh Srivastava ( National Youth President), Smt. Priyambada Keshri ( National Women President), , Squadron Leader Rakhi Aggarwal, and Shri. Praamit Saran (National Vice -President, Youth) including many others from all over the nation.

The participants of the session talked about the collaborative initiative of the Government of India, ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’, which aims at saving and educating the girl child all over India, thus, improving the status of girls in the country.
The speakers in the session not only spoke of the problems associated with the girls and women in our society ( like social abuses, orthodox rituals, female foeticide, female infanticide, conservative mindset of people, dowry system, sexual harassment, etc. ) but also discussed how this initiative can be made successful for the upliftment of the females in our country. They spoke that undoubtedly women our worshipped in Indian culture as goddesses, girls are worshipped as Devi on festivals like Navratras, but it is highly misleading and ironic looking into the current social status of women in our society. The real plight of girls/women in this society is nothing to be celebrated about.
Why even today women are pressurized to produce male heirs ? Why even today many many women are not glorified for giving birth to baby girls? In fact, in some states and families the female foetus is illegally terminated, or newly born female children are deliberately killed. These inhuman practices are a result of a gender bias social construction that discriminates against women and believes them to be less liable and responsible than men. Girls/women become victims of eve-teasing, sexual harassment and rape by sick-minded people shamelessly living freely in our society.
The session discussed various ways in which such heinous crimes could be challenged and how the mindset of such barbaric ‘criminals’ could be changed, in order to uplift the status of girl/women in our society. Education of girls, protection of girl child, security of girls and women, improving the gender ratio, promoting gender equality were the main points of discussion in the virtual meeting.
Salute Tiranga believes that the women are truly phenomenal and are breaking the stereotypes across the globe and it promotes the importance of girls education and their safety to carve a bright future for the country.

Navi Mumbai Police Bust Inter-District Gang Targeting Senior Citizens Inside Housing Societies
The Central Crime Branch of Navi Mumbai Police has busted an inter-district gang targeting elderly women inside housing societies to snatch gold chains and mangalsutras, arresting three suspects identified as Riyaz Ramzan Shaikh, Jamalbadshah Manirul Gazi, and Ashik Billa Gazi.
The police recovered stolen goods worth Rs 12 lakh from the trio, including 95 grams of gold ornaments and two motorcycles used in the commission of the crimes. The investigation was triggered by a chain-snatching incident in Khandeshwar on May 15, where CCTV footage clearly captured one of the suspects.
By matching the visuals with criminal databases, technical intelligence, and local informant tips, police traced the gang to Mira Road and Bihar. Investigations revealed that the gang specifically entered residential complexes to target senior citizens before escaping on stolen two-wheelers using familiar local shortcuts, which one suspect knew well from his prior employment in Kamothe.
To evade law enforcement, the culprits would quickly sell the stolen gold in the region and flee to their native villages in West Bengal and Bihar. With their arrest, the police have solved at least nine cases of theft and robbery across Navi Mumbai, Mira Road, and neighboring areas. The accused, who carry prior charges involving vehicle theft and drug trafficking, have been remanded to judicial custody as authorities work to curtail similar residential property crimes.
