Published

on

A resident of Navi Mumbai was recently arrested by the Cyber police on suspicion of being part of a group that tricked a private taxi driver, costing him all of his family money and the loan he took out from his friends to invest in a scheme. It turned out to be a scam, but the victim thought he was investing in a “part time job” plan that would pay off handsomely.
In sum, the plaintiff lost Rs 16 lakh. Suresh Sule, the culprit who was detained, is said to have given the gang permission to use his bank account to accept money from the complainant. Sule’s bank account was one of eight that the victim had moved money to.

Sule from Khandeshwar was taken into custody by police; the other accounts are with banks in West Bengal, Jharkhand, and Uttar Pradesh. Every account has been put on hold. The prior year, between September and November, the crime was committed.
The complainant allegedly saw an Instagram advertising for a part-time job that paid money. The complaint obtained the employment details for the part-time position by clicking on the advertising made by ID “Coin Switch Recruitment.” After after, he joined the accused’s WhatsApp group. He received a URL and was requested to rate five-star hotels.

He did as instructed, and thereafter his bank account was credited with some money. In order to increase his earnings, he then bought further ratings from the accused. He received a login ID and password so that he could view his investment and profit on a website.
He saw that his investment and profit will reach Rs 18.6 lakh by November, having invested about Rs 15.8 lakh. He attempted to take the money out, but was unsuccessful. He enquired, but the accused insisted on receiving Rs. 5 lakh in taxes.

At this point, the complainant recognized he had been tricked and lodged a formal complaint. The amount of money driver Sule earned in commission for giving the gang access to his account data is being looked into by the police. Investigating the matter is a squad headed by DCP Datta Nalawade, which also includes sub inspector Nilesh Hembade and senior PI Mousami Patil.

According to Manohar Shroff, Senior Vice-President of the Maharashtra Chamber of Housing Industry (MCHI), demand for rental homes in Navi Mumbai has increased as several residential buildings in Mumbai undergo redevelopment. The Travel

The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has outlined an ambitious plan to significantly reduce travel time across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) through its ‘Mumbai in Minutes’ initiative.

MMRDA Metropolitan Commissioner Dr Sanjay Mukherjee said that the journey between Mumbai and Thane could eventually take just 25 minutes, while travel from Worli to Navi Mumbai could be reduced to less than 30 minutes. Mukherjee said the initiative aims to enable commuters to travel between different parts of the metropolitan region within 59 minutes.

The Worli–Navi Mumbai journey, which currently takes around 90 minutes, is expected to become considerably shorter through improved connectivity involving the Mumbai Coastal Road and Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL). The plan includes a proposed investment of around Rs 58,000 crore in a ring-road network spanning more than 90 km. Major infrastructure projects include the Thane–Borivali twin tunnel, Sewri–Worli connector and expansion of the Metro network.

MMRDA is also focusing on strengthening suburban railway and bus connectivity to provide commuters with multiple travel options. The initiative aims to ease traffic congestion, improve regional connectivity and make daily commuting faster and more convenient. The proposed travel times will depend on the completion and integration of these infrastructure projects.
