Venkatesh Prasad blasts the Congress for ignoring the genocide of Kashmiri Hindus

Published

on

Venkatesh Prasad, a former Indian cricketer, has slammed the Congress Party for normalizing the genocide of Kashmiri Pandits and attempting to spread misleading information about the horrors committed against the Hindu population.

“When a person believes they have reached rock bottom and can only go up from here, they devise new ways to reach new lows.” It’s a shame they chose to offend Kashmiri Pandits once more. In response to a tweet on the Congress party’s attempts to hide the genocide committed against the Kashmir Pandit community, the former Indian cricketer criticized the party, saying, “Kashmir Files is an eye-opener and possibly just the tip of the iceberg.”

The ex-cricketer criticized the Congress for plunging to a new low by once again injuring Kashmiri Pandits’ feelings.

Venkatesh Prasad’s answer came after the Kerala Congress issued a series of tweets denying the genocide of Kashmiri Hindus and absolving Jihadi terrorists for their actions in Kashmir during the 1990s. The fast-bowler defended the film, claiming that it was merely an eye-opener and possibly only the tip of the iceberg.

The Congress party’s post was in response to the film ‘The Kashmir Files,’ which depicts the terrible and tragic story of the Kashmiri Pandit massacre.

Despite the film’s success, the Congress party has stirred new debate by attempting to construct a false narrative regarding the genocide of Kashmiri Pandits by spreading misinformation about the horrors committed against them. Congress Kerala uploaded a series of posts shortly after the CWC meeting in New Delhi, blaming Governor Jagmohan and the RSS for the Kashmiri Pandit migration.

The Kerala Congress alleged in a series of tweets that Pandits fled the valley en masse on the orders of Governor Jagmohan, who was an “RSS guy,” and that the migration began under the BJP-backed VP Singh government.

Pandit exodus began the month after the BJP-backed VP Singh government took power in December 1989, according to the Congress, and the grand old party accused the BJP of doing nothing but supporting VP Singh until November 1990.

The Congress party, while absolving Islamic terrorists of their atrocities, also claimed that terrorism affects people other than Pandits, claiming that over 1,00,000 Kashmiri Muslims were slain in Jammu during communal riots in 1948, but no Pandits were killed in retaliation.

The Congress party also stated that the UPA government built 5,242 tenements for Pandits in Jammu and gave each family a one-time payment of Rs.5 lakh, in addition to student scholarships, farmer help, and welfare initiatives totaling Rs.1,168.4 crores.

Kerala Congress went on to remark that despite being in power for two terms at the center and one term in Kashmir, the BJP did not bring the Pandits back to Kashmir or resettle them.

The Congress party’s stunning tweets have sparked significant outrage across the country, with many accusing them of being terrorism sympathizers and enablers of genocide against Hindus in the country. Despite the criticism, the Congress party has not deleted or apologized for the offensive tweets.
