In his second term Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath restarts his welfare mission

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has continued his mission of public welfare via good governance shortly after being sworn in for the second consecutive term. Yogi Adityanath, India’s largest state’s chief minister, expanded the free ration scheme by three months in the first decision of his second term. On March 26, 2022, he announced his choice at a news conference held at Lok Bhavan in Lucknow. The free rationing scheme will now run until June 30, 2022.

“This decision is devoted to the people of the state,” CM Yogi Adityanath stated upon announcing the decision. PM Narendra Modi launched the Pradhan Mantri Anna Yojana during the pandemic, which served 80 crore people across the country. This plan benefited participants for over fifteen months between April 2020 and March 2022.”

“Around 15 crore individuals in Uttar Pradesh have benefited from this scheme,” he added. The Uttar Pradesh government has launched a scheme that will help 15 million people, known as the Uttar Pradesh Antyoday Scheme. It began in April 2020 for three months and was then extended for three months in May, June, and July 2021.

The scheme was then restarted by the state government in December from December 2021 to March 2022. Families qualifying for the Uttar Pradesh Antyoday plan and Uttar Pradesh Paatra Grihasthi Yojana are among the 15 crore individuals in Uttar Pradesh who will benefit. Antyoday families receive 35 kilos of rations per unit, while Paatra Grihasthi families receive five kilogrammes per unit.”

“Alongside, the state government provided 1-kilogram each of pulses, refined oil, and iodized salt to every family,” CM Yogi Adityanath added. Furthermore, the state government rewarded each Antyoday family with one kilogramme of sugar.

This plan was in effect until March 20, 2022. However, in today’s meeting, the cabinet decided that this scheme will be extended to all 15 million beneficiaries in the state until June 30, 2022. This choice was made in honour of the 15 million people who will benefit from the scheme.”

“This is the two-engine government,” Yogi Adityanath stated. We were with the people of Uttar Pradesh even before they were with us. We offered free rations, testing kits, treatments, and vaccines to the residents of the state during the COVID pandemic. Any epidemic carries a risk of malnutrition as a side consequence. However, the state, like the rest of the country, now has effective structures in place to combat these issues. So, as I just mentioned, this is our cabinet’s first choice. We used cutting-edge technology and did everything we could to ensure that distribution systems were transparent.”
