In order to set an example for the public, NMMC Commissioner Dr Kailash Shinde led the cyclothon and took part in the ride.
The cyclists started at the NMMC Head Office and rode a course along Palm Beach Road, passing TS Chanakya Chowk on their way back. The occasion emphasized the advantages of promoting environmental preservation and personal wellness by driving fuel-free vehicles, such as bicycles.

They all pledged to keep the area clean together and gave the riders medals for their involvement.
