One Man Found Dead On The Pen-Khopoli Highway After Two Men Go Missing From Navi Mumbai
Off the Pen-Khopoli State Highway, one of the two guys who vanished the day before yesterday, has been discovered dead. The corpse was discovered in the bushes on the side of the state highway on Friday afternoon, according to the police Patil of Gagode village in Pen. Subsequently, the corpse was recognized as that of 35-year-old Sumit Jain, a real estate agent from Nerul who vanished on Wednesday, August 21, along with 40-year-old Aamir Khanzada.
For the last three years, Khanzada, a resident of Nerul’s sector 27, and Jain, a resident of sector 4, have been involved in the real estate industry. Police sources claim that during the past three days, they have been leaving the house every day for a “meeting” with a customer and returning home late at night.
“They left the house on Wednesday night at about 11 p.m., and they did not return until after 1 a.m., so the family began searching for them. After learning of the disappearance, Khanzada’s brother, who lives in Pune, traveled to Nerul early on Thursday morning. The brother recharged the GPS on the automobile that Khanzada was using, located Khalapur, and proceeded to look for the vehicle. A police officer from the Nerul police station stated, “They notified us and filed a missing person’s complaint when they could not find anyone in the car.”
Police claim that neither Khanzada nor Jain ever reported being threatened or had a complaint filed against them. Khanzada, who is originally from Murud in Raigad, frequently travels to Nerul to see his parents and spends some time there. He’s currently in Nerul.
Since the automobile was discovered on Thursday night with a gunshot mark on the back side and blood traces inside, ten teams, comprising the Navi Mumbai Crime Branch and local police, have been working on the case. The authorities are still looking for Khanzada, who is still missing. One crew is solely responsible for examining CCTV video and the vehicle’s backseat before it arrived to the Khalapur Food Mall on the Mumbai–Pune Expressway, where the vehicle was eventually found.
The two disappeared from the Nerul, Navi Mumbai police district; the abandoned automobile was discovered beneath the Khopoli, Raigad police district; and the corpse of Jain was discovered under the Pen, Raigad police district.
