With Mass Awareness Campaigns And Senior Citizen Assistance, NMMC Supports Chief Minister Teerath Yojana
Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) organized public awareness campaigns and provided support to respondents to promote the recently introduced Chief Minister Teerath Yojana.
The Camp
Chief Minister unveiled the program last month with the goal of granting older citizens’ desire to go to pilgrimage sites throughout the nation. Under the program, 66 pilgrimage sites in the state and 73 pilgrimage sites nationwide have been identified. In an effort to make sure seniors gain as much as possible from the program, the business recently held meetings at several senior citizen centers.
Additionally, the corporation has supplied the documents that older persons must complete in order to be eligible for the program. Senior folks may only benefit from the initiative if they meet certain requirements, such as having a fitness certificate and documentation proving that the family’s yearly income is less than 2.5 lakhs. The officer bearers of the various senior citizen groups were given an explanation of these finer points of the plan. An official stated, “Even the process was described because these documents must be posted online.
Additionally, the eight city ward offices make the scheme’s forms available. The forms are free to download, and NMMC guarantees to help older residents in any way possible. A few more significant requirements for eligibility to the program include being a resident of the state and being older than 60.
Those who go on the pilgrimage with senior citizens must be between the ages of 21 and 50. This wonderful program allows older persons to realize their wishes even if they have not been able to go on pilgrimages because of budgetary limitations. Municipal commissioner Kailash Shinde stated, “Civic administration has held a number of meetings with associations and is also making arrangements at the ward office.”

Online Gaming Addiction Leaves Navi Mumbai Man Claiming Rs 2.5 Crore Loss
Jayesh Pawar alleges massive financial losses and urges authorities to act against gaming platforms.
The Addiction
The growing popularity of online gaming for quick money is raising concerns in Navi Mumbai, with one resident claiming that he lost around Rs 2.5 crore after becoming trapped in the cycle of online gaming.
Navi Mumbai resident Jayesh Pawar has approached the authorities seeking action, alleging that he suffered huge financial losses through online gaming platforms. He also claimed that he lost around Rs 35 lakh at one stage while trying to recover earlier losses.

The issue has also raised concerns about the wider impact of gaming addiction, including financial stress and problems within families.
