With The Help Of His Wife, Rabale Police Manage To Apprehend A 35-year-old Driver Who Had Robbed His Employer At Gunpoint
After taking his wife into confidence, the driver who had defrauded his employer was taken into custody by Rabale police. The driver Arun Chandrakant Kadam (35), who had been employed by Vrushali Dalvi (58) for the previous three years, had taken advantage of his employer by robbing her of her gold chain at gunpoint and forcing her to pay Rs 30,000 via net banking. The event had occurred on Wednesday late on an evening while Dalvi was at home alone herself.
The complainant knew the accused, therefore they were able to identify them. Since his phone was off, we were able to track down his wife’s number and gain her trust. So she assisted us in apprehending the accused. According to a police officer from the Rabale police station, the woman had gone to see her sister-in-law and begged her husband to come over from where he had been apprehended. It has to be confirmed by the police if the weapon he used for the crime was a real gun or a fake gun. According to assistant police inspector Deepak Kharat, “the investigations are ongoing and we have not yet confirmed what he had used to threaten the complainant.”
For a few years, Kadam, a history sheeter who was charged with chain stealing alongside the Dombivli Railway police, remained free on bond. “He had a loan on him that he had to repay, so he needed Rs 5 lakh,” Kharat continued. “That’s why he had initially asked the employer for Rs 5 lakh.”
Under the guise of returning a loan to Dalvi, Kadam broke into her home on Wednesday night at approximately seven o’clock. She recognized him and answered the door. He pulled a silver gun-like weapon from his backpack and asked for RS 5 lakh because he was really poor after she allowed him inside. Furthermore, he said that he would not return the money to her. She was forced to transfer the money to an account number by him.
The complainant took off her 1.5 tola gold chain and gave it to him when he claimed he needed more money. At that point, someone from the elevator left for the apartment next door, and as she yelled for assistance, he took off running. The estimated value of the gold chain is Rs 75,000, meaning that the total theft is Rs 1.05 lakh. He spent the money that was sent, and the gold chain was found.

Steady monsoon downpours boost primary water reservoir for Navi Mumbai residents.
The Storage
In a major relief for Navi Mumbai residents, water levels at the Morbe Dam the primary drinking water source for the region have reached 75.66% of its total capacity, following consistent monsoon showers across its catchment area in Khalapur.
Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) officials confirmed that the rising water levels significantly reduce concerns over potential water cuts or supply disruptions in the coming months. The steady inflow has ensured a secure drinking water buffer for over 15 lakh residents across the city.
While the current stock is sufficient to meet daily demand well into early next year, civic engineers noted that sustained heavy downpours are still required for the reservoir to hit 100% capacity and overflow. NMMC continues to monitor catchment rainfall closely to optimize seasonal storage reserves.
