A Reckless Driver Kills A Couple On A Scooter, Hurts A Girl, And Mistreats A Police Officer Who Was Watching The Collision
A tragically young Uran-based couple lost their lives in a car accident on Saturday night near the Uran train station, leaving their three-year-old daughter gravely injured. Despite a speed limit in place, a reckless motorist named Jai Chandrahas Gharat struck the couple on a scooter at a high rate of speed. Pavitra Baral, 40, and his wife Rashmita, 37, lost their lives as a consequence of it, while their little daughter Pari Baral is currently receiving treatment at Apollo Hospital in Navi Mumbai for serious damage to her legs.
Atul Chauhan, a 26-year-old Railway Protection Force (RPF) police constable, was verbally harassed by the accused Creta driver, Gharat, who grabbed his shirt and shouted at him to “remove the dead bodies” from the road. Chauhan was a witness to this horrific tragedy.
After that, he ran away from the scene, leaving his wrecked automobile behind. The RPF constable himself became the complainant in order to file the FIR at the Uran police station because the couple was killed in this accident. Gharat has been accused by the police of reckless and irresponsible driving in violation of the Motor Vehicles Act as well as IPC sections 304 (A), 353, 279, 337, and 338.
According to the complainant and eyewitness Chauhan in the FIR, the accused driver did not slow down in spite of a speed breaker next to the Uran railway station and collided with Pavitra Baral’s scooter. The Baral family was on their way back to Uran from a birthday celebration that their daughter Pari had been invited to. In actuality, Gharat, the alleged driver of the automobile, pulled the scooter a little distance down the road before stopping.
Gharat grabbed his shirt collar and brashly ordered the railway officer to remove the body from the road as he approached him. The Uran police are looking into the situation more even though the suspected motorist hasn’t been taken into custody yet.
“The accused car driver (Gharat) belongs to a rich and influential family, with close links with a politician,” a Uran local updated . Many residents think that he was intoxicated when the accident happened, which is why he ignored the speed limit sign and even assaulted a railway police officer, who is now the complainant in this case. An Uran activist went on to say that if Gharat is not arrested by the police within the next 24 hours, it will be impossible to determine whether or not he was drinking when the tragic tragedy occurred.
