The BJP criticizes the JNU riots and Ram Navami ferocity

Published

on

As a result of the JNU fight and violent clashes observed during the Ram Navami procession, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) officials have criticized the acts and accused the opposition of inciting them. Amit Malviya, the chairman of the BJP’s IT unit, voiced alarm about the JNU clash, saying that such instances are hazardous for the country.

“Communist student body attacked ABVP activists yesterday,” the BJP leader added, “and all the footage confirms it.”

He went on to say that the students were encouraged to get involved in politics to propagate their beliefs across other schools. He then brought up the name of CPI(M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury, claiming that Yechury attends JNU and engages in politics there.

Yechury was twice elected president of the JNU Students’ Union after being detained during the emergency.

Amit Malviya, speaking on the communal violence recorded on Sunday in four states, stated, “Every year on Ram Navami, we see stone-pelting on the procession across the country, particularly in Bengal. This sort of event always incites societal animosity.”

The BJP’s national spokesman, Sambit Patra, stated in response to the violent acts, “Politicians have been attacking Lord Ram for the past several days. Opposition groups are denying Ram’s existence, which is quite unfortunate.”

“Rahul Gandhi used fake words for Ram, this reveals his nature,” he said, referring to Rahul Gandhi’s skepticism of Lord Ram’s existence. He claimed that Congress is attempting to incite regional communities and that they are willing to go to any length for power.

“I questioned the BJP leader whether he believes in the notion of reincarnation,” Rahul Gandhi stated earlier at a book launch event. When he responded no, I asked him how he could believe in Lord Ram if he didn’t believe in him.”

JNU vs. JNU

On the festival of Ram Navami, clashes erupted at the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) after students from the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) reportedly prevented other left-leaning students from consuming non-vegetarian cuisine.  A fight broke out at Kaveri hostel over meat served in the dormitory canteen, injuring six pupils.

The ABVP members allegedly attacked the mess secretary and prevented the hostel staff from providing meat meals, according to the Jawaharlal Nehru University Students’ Union (JNUSU). The ABVP claims that left-wing students at the Kaveri Hostel disrupted Ram Navami’s prayers.

Communal violence erupted in portions of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, and West Bengal on Sunday when Hindu organizations held processions to honor Ram Navami, according to another source.
