The magnificent Yadadri Lakshmi Narasimha temple has been opened and the gorgeous visuals have gone viral
The rebuilt Lord Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple in Yadadri was inaugurated by Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao yesterday. The enormous 14.5-acre temple complex’s renovation began in April 2016, with an initial expenditure of Rs 1,600 crore.
The Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple, commonly known as Yadadri or Yadagirigutta temple, is a Hindu temple in the distant village of Yadagirigutta in the Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district. The temple was rebuilt using black granite and is located 65 kilometers from Hyderabad. Nearly 4,000 artisans worked on the project, which cost over 1,800 crores.
The architectural brilliance of the temple has been praised around the world. The temple architecture style is a mix of Dravidian, Pallava, and Kakatiyan. People from all over the world have been drawn to the temple, which is projected to bring a big number of visitors to the state.
“Majestic view of the wonderful and lovely Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Yadari Temple,” Kavitha Kalvakuntla, Member of Legislative Council-Kamareddy & Nizamabad, Telangana, captioned a video of the temple on Twitter. “May the divine Lord’s blessings bring all of you peace, wealth, and strength.”
The temple was meticulously created to survive 1,000 years, according to endowments minister Indrakaran Reddy. The beauty of the monument carved out of black granite drew a large crowd of people from all walks of life.
Everything has been meticulously considered in the temple’s rebuilding, from the stone used in construction to the sculptures and their religious importance, as well as Vaastu Shastra craftsmanship. Krushna Sila, the black granite used in the structure, was obtained from Gurujapally in the Guntur district.
Statues of the 12 Alwars depicting the Kakatiyan style of architecture have been constructed all around Mukha Mandapa, which connects to the sanctum sanctorum, which is 18 feet below ground. The corridor in front of the sanctum sanctorum depicts the royal splendor found within a king’s court with these sculptures, chandeliers, golden Dhwaja Sthamba, and unique architecture.
This temple boasts an 11-foot Garbhalaya door with a golden Nava Narasimha Swami artwork, unlike other temples that have a 7-foot Garbhalaya entrance. With its remarkable blend of design, religious significance, and exquisite majesty, the towering temple, a mix of Dravidian and Kakatiyan traditions, soars tall.
