Following a massive victory in the Uttar Pradesh election 2022, BJP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will visit Delhi on Sunday, March 13 to meet with BJP high brass and discuss the formation of the state government. During his visit to the national capital, Yogi Adityanath will meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP National President JP Nadda, according to ANI.

This meeting could pave the way for the BJP’s legislative party meeting to take place. Yogi Adityanath, on the other hand, is scheduled to meet with BJP officials today. The gathering will take place at the home of the Chief Minister. The meeting will begin at noon, with Swatantra Dev Singh, the Uttar Pradesh BJP chief, in attendance. Sunil Bansal, the Party UP’s general secretary, will also be in attendance.

Meanwhile, insiders say Yogi’s swearing-in ceremony for the new administration will most likely take place after Holi, rather than on Holi itself.

Notably, the process of forming a new administration in Uttar Pradesh would officially commence once the Election Commission of India announces the formation of the 18th state assembly.

This happened barely a day after rumors appeared that Yogi Adityanath would take the oath as Chief Minister before Holi, on March 14 or 15.

Yogi Adityanath has submitted his resignation letter to the Governor of Uttar Pradesh.

On Friday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met with Governor Anandiben Patel and resigned. He also informed her about the newly-elected MLAs and discussed the creation of a new administration in the state.

Yogi also presided over a meeting of the state cabinet, thanking the BJP for their victory in the Uttar Pradesh election of 2022. PM Modi was also recognized for his “continuous leadership and advice,” according to him.

In the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party won 255 seats, beating opposition parties such as the Samajwadi Party, Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party, Rashtriya Lok Dal, Congress, Jansatta Dal, and others. The saffron party regained power, becoming the state’s first party to win a second term in a row.

Despite being a first-time candidate, Yogi Adityanath, who ran for the Gorakhpur Assembly constituency, won by a massive margin of more than 1 lakh votes.
