Following the death of a 26-year-old in Karnataka the hashtag JusticeForHarsha has gained traction
As sympathy for the murdered Bajrang Dal activist came in on February 21, the hashtag #JusticeForHarsha trended on social media sites. Kangana Ranaut and Raveena Tondon, as well as BJP officials and other important members of society, expressed their outrage at Harsha’s cold-blooded murder in Karnataka over a Facebook post related to the hijab controversy.
“This is unacceptable, for social media posts to merely speak their ideas, people are getting slain on the streets,” actress Kangana Ranaut said in a piece. She was referring to an Instagram post under the account total. woke, in which the handle discussed how reality differed from what is presented in the mainstream media.
TMC leader Mahua Moitra had uploaded an image of Swastika being stabbed with a knife on Twitter, with the phrase “Liberals create an intellectual cover,” according to the handle. “The only decent fascist is a dead one,” the TMC leader wrote in his post. “Street action team executes,” the caption said with an image of Harsha’s dead body.
With Praying Hands and Om emojis, actress Raveena Tondon used the hashtag #JusticeForHarsha.
“The terrible murder of Bajrang Dal leader Harsha in Karnataka is a part of the well-thought-out chain under which Hindus are being murdered; such crimes are pushed by the jihadi mindset,” stated Dr. Pradip Verma, State General Secretary of the BJP in Jharkhand. He also claimed that Rupesh Kumar was murdered in Jharkhand by persons with the same mentality, and requested that the perpetrators be brought to justice.
“The fatwa against him was almost six years old, and they finally got him yesterday,” writer and filmmaker Jyoti Kapur Das remarked, quoting Scientist Anand Ranganathan’s post on the subject. His ‘sin’ was blogging about the Karnataka hijab row.”
“Has Rajdeep Sardesai justified the terrible murder of Bajrang Dal activist Harsha in Karnataka like he justified the savage murder of Prashanth Poojary in Moodbidri a few years ago?” asked author Shefali Vaidya.
“We’ll just play trend-trend on social media,” Hindu activist Ramesh Solanki remarked. We should be ashamed of ourselves.”
“The Bajrang Dal youth Harsha (26) killed yesternight in #Shivamogga of Karnataka was attacked by Jihadists earlier as well,” VHP national spokesperson Vinod Bansal stated. The criminals must be hanged as quickly as possible. This Wednesday, the Bajrang Dal will hold a state-wide protest.”
“Rana Ayyub tells BBC — Students protesting in saffron scarves are ‘Hindu terrorists,” Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, BJP State General Secretary for Andhra Pradesh, remarked. Sadhika Tiwari of Quint compared females wearing saffron scarves to Nazis. And who paid the price – an innocent student named Harsha, who was brutally murdered because he was wearing his uniform.”
“Every day they are killing Kishan, Rupesh, Hira Gujrati, Harsha someplace,” BJP leader Kapil Mishra claimed. On the other side, they are circulating rumors that Muslims in India are being attacked. This is a new type of Jihad in which the media and political leaders are involved.”
Harsha, a Bajrang Dal activist, got brutally murdered at the Kamat petrol bunk in the Shivamogaa region of Karnataka on the night of February 20. He was a tailor by trade and a Seegehatti native. Harsha was a member of the Hindu Bajrang Dal and was observed wearing saffron scarves to protest uniformity in school and college clothing codes.
