Three Helmet-Clad Robbers With Guns And Loot Jewellery From Kharghar Shop Worth ₹11.80 Lakh

Three unknown thieves who used a handgun to break into a jewelry store on Sunday night and stole 236 grams of gold jewelry valued at Rs 11.80 lakh have been arrested by Kharghar police. The three criminals arrived disguised in a jacket and helmet to avoid being recognized. The event took place at BM Jewellers, which is situated in Kharghar’s sector 35 near Ekram Heritage. Around ten o’clock at night, the three of them went inside the store and demanded that the employees remove the decorations at gunpoint.

Because it was a Sunday and the market area was widespread, there was a lot of traffic on the road when the crime occurred. The accused then fled on a two-wheeled vehicle, and upon realizing that the throng could attempt to stop them, they fired a bullet into the crowd, missing anyone in the process.

To ensure that no one attempted to stop them or follow them, they openly opened fire in the air to frighten the villagers. By then, there was a flurry of shouting and screaming from the audience, but no one was hurt. There was no number plate on the two-wheeled vehicle, which is thought to be a Scooty, according to a Kharghar police official.

When the event occurred, the shop’s owner, Radhe Shyam Gujar, was also there. The CCTV footage of the heist and the situation as they departed the neighborhood has gone viral after the occurrence. One of the employees is seen attempting to sound the alarm during the heist, but the accused catches him and strikes him. Police said that the suspects only fired one round while running away from the scene and that they just used the pistol in the store to frighten the employees.

The criminal branch is doing a technical analysis and reviewing the accused’s CCTV video while conducting a parallel investigation into the matter. “By monitoring the CCTV trial, we are attempting to track the accused’s path,” a Crime Branch police official stated.

In accordance with parts of the Arms Act and Bharatiya Nayaya Sanhita 2023, as well as sections 311 and 109, the Kharghar police have opened a case in response to Gujar’s accusation. According to Gujar, 236 grams of gold jewelry, including necklaces, bangles, and other pieces, totaling Rs 11.80 lakhs were taken. “We are still looking into the situation and have filed a complaint against three unidentified individuals. To find the culprits, teams have been assembled, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone II), Vivek Pansare.
